Balances NRS missed in the patch

Out of all the top characters I believe Batman and Nightwing are the most fair and balance. As a superman main I only wish that his F2D1 didn't get nerf, I would be OK if they just nerf his trait cool down.

I don't agree with the nerfs except Supes & BA getting a minor one.
We don't need to be nerfing everyone, just buffing people up a bit so it's more even, other wise we make bottom tier top & top tier bottom, instead of there not being a great difference in tiers.

Nightwing is fair. Learn to use both stances.

Superman has 70% corner combos for a bar or two after the patch and f23 actually has a decent anti air box nobody seems to mention. It cant AA on reaction but beats a lot of jump ins. 2f super. Jump laser aims downward but hits quite high up on the screen. IMO this is the only char that is kind of unfair, but not by a large margin. The frame traps arent that bad bcuz his mixups suck anyway.

Bane is very scary and hard to outrun now. He wont touch you many times, but he doesnt need to.

Green arrow was fine before, now i feel like he needs something.

Harley... Poor harley. The most useless trait in the game and somehow she got nerfed. Decent char, could be great with a faster overhead and useable trait.

IMO the game isnt that unbalanced as is... Some chars are just easier to use.

Give and take. And it still doesn't make him the scariest up close, it just makes it a little easier for him to stay inside against better zoners, which there are at least 2 or 3 more of now.

The armor isn't even instant. You can't really use it to break out of pressure. The only thing its useful for is stuffing wakeups or if you think they are gonna advance forward. You can't take away the advantage that some grant because that would be a big nerf to the majority of the cast. If they were instant and maybe took more than one hit or were just faster startups then yeah you can make them more punishable but with a 25-30 frame startup that doesn't even become armored instantly, theres no reason to make them punishable.

I believe the armor activates on the 5th frame,I might be wrong. so basically use it when you think the opponent is going to press buttons.

Almost no wake-up attack beats cross-ups, yet you're crying, saying that Nighting has zero wake-up options. How about blocking them, like what the majority of the cast has to do, instead of complaining that Nightwing has no wake-up otions. Chill out, we're talking about a video game.

The rest of the cast has to block cross ups? Rising Grab. Electric Cage. Lasso Spin. Cat Dash. Venom Uppercut. Signal Arrow. Smoke Bomb. Flying Uppercut. Shazam, Raven and Ares all have completely invincible teleport options. Sword Flip. Corp Charge. I'm sure there are more, but I don't play the entire cast. All of these attacks will get away, beat out or at the least - trade with jump ins on wake up.

I'm not complaining at all that Nightwing has no good wake up options. In fact, I'm all for keeping it that way, because it justifies Nightwing having the best frame traps in the game.




Nightwing has four staff strings, not one. Three of them are already safe on block, and they're hardly slow. They all start off an 11f standing 1. With that range, 11F strings are stupid good fast.
You misread my post. Nightwing only has 1 staff string that can be combo'd. The others are -11, -3 and 0. And the 0 frame string ends in a high that can be ducked and full combo punished.


To be completely fair, you can't cross up staff spin, it moves his hurtbox forward. It's actually a really good wake up because it's even safe on block. But Nightwing is fine the way he is. This thread is still pointless.

My friend, I assure you, staff spin can be crossed up on wakeup. If players don't want to put the time in the lab, they can just time their neutral jump on Nightwing's wake up and still beat it. Nightwing is free to jump ins.

Saying staff spin is a good wake up is like saying Doomsday should never stop using Supernova. Just because a solid majority of the player base will never learn how to beat it, doesn't make it a good move - it just makes them bad players.

My personal suggestions:​
- Fix Wake Ups (the fact that if you start doing a mid hitting string while they're getting up from being knocked down, it becomes nearly impossible to wake up.)​

I kinda get the point of what you're going for without being to detailed about the matter, and I have to say I agree with all the choices of Nerfs/Buffs. Seems reasonable and thought out.
Edit: Except for the request to make F3/B3 MB more punishable I think that is pretty balanced as is in the game and it kinda makes it hype when last minute you can just MB chip pressure.

For all of those you mentioned, they will whiff if the the other one attempting a cross-up (I have to test WW's though) besides Deathstroke and Doomsday. You'll recover in time to punish for full combo, or you can just chuck a projectile. They have to block cross-ups, if done correctly, or get punished.

If 8 frame sword flip was +4 then you have effectively created a block infinite, the best wakeup option in the game, well basically the best special move in the game. That move is punishable for a reason. Its a gigantic hitbox, has multiple hits, flies through the air, and has 8 frame startup.

DS is still a very good char, just because he isnt up there with superfag dont underestimate how well rounded he is.
 
They need to patch Batman's ridiculous jump in 2. Dayum. It is almost impossible to tell what side he will be on. There are times when he is obviously in front of me and ends up behind me? Obviously I am not blocking anymore and there goes that combo THAT EVERY BATMAN USER USES. Makes me sick how is the main characters are to leran.

And fix GA's jump in 2. It doesn't hit for shit.

in all honesty... the lobo buff didnt do anything at all... in fact i think since the buff for the other character were so much more significant... now lobo is just purely terrible in any competitive setting that you would only play him to lose...
