My english it's not good
The problem it's getting the knockdownGL isn't that bad. He's another character with no wake up options. Once you get the knockdown, it's bad news

I like crossing up w/body splash and LM is so annoying. I try to poke him and he wakes up w/LM. B1 has insane range as a low, it's fantastic. I'm convinced this is by and far his worst matchup. At least w/Batman/Superman, I feel I can get in and stay in. GL, it's so hard to bait out the LM. The green bastard totally throws me off my game
Even then, you have two options. The problem it's getting the knockdown
To be fair, making a habit of it isn't the worst thing in the world. Its safe on block.A delayed charge on wakeup fucks GL up if he's mashing anything (jump, backdash, LM, normals etc). Don't make a habit out of it for obvious reasons, but checking him every once in a while with charge keeps him a bit more honest on wakeup.
The only last option it's Lvl 3 F2D, you get an armored overhead that can lead to DBF3(for example). The damage will be good due lvl 3, but it's highly situational.Even then, you have two options.
Back Breaker, or double punch. He can really easily wake up with LM to fuck any normals you have, so that's out of the question. If you try to bait his LM, he can tell and he'll just backdash/jump back and it all comes down to nothing.
So, its a 50/50 between him jumping out or you getting him with your amazing 8% double punch
Which is why anyone competent will MB b/f 3.To be fair, making a habit of it isn't the worst thing in the world. Its safe on block.
It's just the nature of the character. Chars like Bane will always have bad matchups against chars like those. It's why Zangief vs Sagat/Akuma/Dhalsim has been a bad matchup since SF2. You'll always have to work harder and more intelligent and patient than your opponent to win these matchups. The more I think of it, the more I realize its not that banes tools are broken, and need buffing. Its that he simply has the wrong kind of tools for this game. I really don't see what you can buff for him to be able to deal with someone like GL or Batman, or Superman.
You have 0 frames of start-up on venom, I'm sure they will regret trying it when they are sucking down a 25% followed by a 52% combo for the cost of that precious meter. You can react to the ~sound~ of the MB b/f.3 and pump venom if your reactions aren't shot all to hell.Which is why anyone competent will MB b/f 3.
All we are saying is, if you beat a really good GL, it sure as hell wasn't because Bane did it, it was you as a player making great readsFine, fine. If you guys say so.
If you beat any great player with Bane, it was reads. We have the benefit of having one of the only characters which isn't even slightly braindead to use. And by benefit I mean I wish command grab was just b.f.3All we are saying is, if you beat a really good GL, it sure as hell wasn't because Bane did it, it was you as a player making great reads
It does, that's why I said go to 3. You don't have any reason not to, especially against GL.I'm pretty sure MB b/f3 beats charge even with venom unless it's lvl 3.
I only agree w/the GL part. Superman/Batman is much easier to get in on them and hurt them. I can block and make good reads. Obviously it's hard as hell, I lose to most of them but that's because of my ignorance on certain strings, not the matchup. GL, way too many options to destroy BaneI really don't see what you can buff for him to be able to deal with someone like GL or Batman, or Superman.
Honestly its a game of numbers against him. His low mobility won't let him keep far from you for long, and he only has so much space before he hits a wall. If you can get in at all, level 3 venom gives you the most benefit and options by far since he won't be able to wake-up against you. Taking off 70% of his life in one go is just the means to an end, since its all damage he has to make up. The best part is when you pull ahead because you can actually force him to approach somewhat. Score that ~50%, back out and watch him struggle to make up the difference while you gas up again and keep on him.I guess man. That just doesn't sound like it'll work that well in practice.
None of the air attacks do, but I mean I don't think anyones does.Does level 3 body splash have armor on it? No right? If it does I've been approaching this match the wrong way
That's how I usually get things started. Try just walk/dash my way in until he does minigun at a range where I can block and dash forward d1 xx (venom) double punch if he stays still.Hmm.....so maybe dash in and double punch w/armor? I need to just let GL go off on me in training mode and go from there
