I would agree with you about Aquaman, he's a turd. His trait is annoying for Harley's BNB., and his pokes are ridiculous.

As far as Harley's mid range game I think it can create a great pressure game with her air shot(hits overhead) and her cupcake bombs(hits overhead), or MB on either of those. Plus the threat of silly slide into TS, or into regular shot or up shot.

With regards to getting in on Deathstroke, he can push you back, but not for too long. Using Harley's air shot gives her the advantage to move in over his shots (if timed right). when you play enough Deathstrokes you find it's not that hard to time, and to get in. At mid range the air shot is a punish against DS shots(standing). Granted, I'm playing online and not against "pros".

Well, look at the other people in A+. Green Lantern has a special that's a gigantic hand that connects standing or in the air and is safe at midrange. Nightwing has staff stance with big normals, like his D1 that outranges Harley's pokes (maybe B2?) and has 6 frames of start-up and is plus on block. How does Harley out-footsie that?

Air shot is good but also unsafe if she's high enough to hit at midrange and doesn't combo into anything. Cupcake bombs are extremely easy to reaction block or stuff during start-up. Her overhead normals are flat out bad because of their start-up, they don't work against strong players and you have to start getting creative with her offense. Harley is all-around an honest character while characters in A+ tier start to get really gross. Harley doesn't make that cut IMO.

Ares's defense and AA options appear to be some of the worst in the game. His normal attacks average, but d+1 xx d+4 is solid. His zoning is also average aside from MB fireball that hits as an overhead.

I agree with Juggs. If Ares loses his so-called "reset", he will be very limited unless he gets compensated.

By the way, CD Jr. also has a top 5 tier list.

Aquaman, Cyborg, Doomsday, Green Lanter, Superman.

He thinks Black Adam is overrated and unsafe (how so is beyond me).

His air to air game is pretty good and if used defensively, creates a lot of space. It's not like he has no options for characters jumping in.

He's limited for sure. All he really has is gimmicks. People will learn how to beat the reset, learn how to punish teleport, learn how to jump back godsmack, learn that Ares is free on wake-up and jump-ins, and learn you can hit him out of trait... Ares will be really hard to win with.

He's only "decent" right now because people don't know the match-up.

He has some pretty decent footsies though. B13(?) is a good example.

Definitely needs some changes though

I played REO's Bane and Lobo. I think Lobo is better. He should be in B tier in my opinion.

But unfortunately all grapple characters are easily replaced by Grundy in this game. Grundy is clearly the best. Great movement. Great damage with and without reset. Best defensive tool in the game. Powerful trait that reduces chip damage to a great extent. He can actually out turtle the best zoning characters using the shield trait.

I don't think Bane is a grappler to be honest. I'd like if he was but one command grab and a shitty grab super ain't gonna cut it. :(

Grundy is definitely the best. Seems like they just put all their creative juices into him and just said "when did we put bane in this game lol"

TS can punish blocked lift on block, so that can be punished from a decent range with TS. TS has a pretty big range. obviously jumping in on him is retarded and wouldn't be great. Each match-up obviously will be different, and obviously playing footsie with every character isn't the end goal. To say she isn't equipped to play footsies effectively is an injustice.. get it .. hah. she is a bit slow on her overhead and a few other pokes but that's not to say you can't connect with it effectively.

Anyways, the point of air shot isn't to be a starter for a combo, but a means to get inside and over projectiles (of deathstroke, joker, frost, raven, wonder woman, etc) relatively safely depending on the matchup. The reason it's nice is two-fold: 1. it get me closer without taking any damage, or avoids damage by jumping over the projectiles and 2. the possibility to do some damage (more with MB obviously) maybe not a lot, but some.

Rather than argue about it we should play some matches :)
And I think we can agree to disagree, as we have beat this horse dead long enough.

I don't mind this debate at all since it's civil, but you're right, not really suited for here anymore. I despise playing online though.

Despite who someone is, man, I can't really not blow up someone who thinks a character that gets guaranteed strings, have a nearly unpunishable divekick in 90% matchups and if MBed gets 48% is unsafe. All that is total crap and only said to downplay a main.

Jr. doesn't even main Black Adam afaik, just uses him. Superman is his main.

just played a dude that had cyborgs iafb game on lock... by far the most broken shyt ive played against he is definitely S+ tier ...... lol im sorry for doubting that.. however i crushed him with hawkgirl which is my third best character so that means she is being slept on

Just because you beat someone with your 3rd best character doesn't mean that that character in particular is being slept on. Despite that, I believe Hawkgirl is a solid character.

Her D1 has really good reach compared to others. The thing is that it gains enough advantage for a free B2 50-50. As far as damage off a D1, it's average at best...her damage midscreen is on the low side and she has issues with low hitbox characters as far as dealing damage.
