According to the not reliable frame data 2,3,d1 is -23 on block. not exactly what I would call strong pressure on block.

What I want to know is what are safe options when opponent back dashes from MB shoulder. From what I gather its forward dash or jump in, but I believe both are unsafe.

Anyone have experience with this?

I'm trying to figure this out too, another venom works too, but if they just stand there and block, you're screwed. maybe the 2,2 or 2,3 string is long enough to reach certain characters back dashes. I should hit the lab and test.

just do another MB venom, everything is punishable in this game with the correct answer, so dont feel scared to dash in for example, its all about you reading your opponent´s mind, that´s all offense is about, doing what you believe will punish your opponent´s defensive option.

39% meterless corner combo.... J.D3 123 123 d1 xx db2(supernova)
32% without the J.D3....

I havent been playing much, sorry for the lack on contribution.

Air Venom to punish backdashes while also fishing for jumpers? Am I smart for doing this while under the effects of trait? This seems like a good idea, can anyone confirm?

Seems to me that you are just wasting your trait time if it whiffs, i prefer to dash up and get close.

I like it because it beats multiple options. I still don't know if 2,2 mixups are worthwhile, but let's say your opponent has been conditioned to expect the 2-2-1+3 block string. They begin backdashing the grab. So you could start canceling into Venom to beat their backdash. Without trait, your only really safe option here is canceling into MB Venom. With trait, you can cancel into Air Venom, which allows you to catch back dashers, up-backers, and neutral jumps.

Oh sorry I thought you meant doing it raw with trait rather than in a combo. In that case it sounds okay, but dangerous without trait if they just block.

I think the 22 mixup isn't very good since most of the time as Doomsday you'll be trying to corner your opponent so going for the throw follow-up will throw them in the other direction. On top of that the recovery is pretty bad so you can't really get any pressure after the throw and it throws them full screen so you have to rework them back to the corner again. I think the only time it's good is if you are in a position where you could throw them into the corner.

I definitely agree. I just wish DDay's pressure was a bit more hype than 'connect the 3,3'. 112 doesn't even seem that great. It's duckable and only guarantees a follow up d1.

Goddamn it the 2,2,1+3 is just so cool. I want to use it but not if it's inferior to his other pressure options ;-;

Isn't 112 safe and the 2 does more damage on block, than it does, when it hits? How can that now be great?
Deathstroke does 6% with his guns, if they hit you. Doomsday does over 7% damage, if you block it.

I guess I'm just bitching. Does anyone else win a counter-poke war with d1 and then cancel into trait?

Anyone using F2 to get in? Dat range bro! F2 with Earth Shake is pretty damn good to get in at from sweep to slightly mid range distance.

I think F2 helps a lot in the Aquaman matchup. If he whifs one of his far reaching normals they can be punished with F2,3 xx Shoulder
