Yeah, being in Staff Stance would not help.

If you MUST remain in it at all times (which I really don't recommend that much since his Trait will just run through your pokes and Ground Blasts), then yeah, just MB B3 or F3 and hold it in until the Supernova comes down. You'll armor through, let it go, enjoy your combo.

His Staff Stance kinda works for me against Doomsday. When his trait is activated, I just keep hoping and poking, or crouching and poking until the trait is gone. So far, it didn't failed. My only problem was Supernova, which I coundln't do anything about, as Nightwing's mobility is decreased in Staff stance and Supernova is unblockable. I really can't do much against him with Escrima... Doomsday has Unblockable combos (normals) and attacks, so he just need to block, reversal and there goes 30% damage. T_T

Like saitsu said only option is MB f3 or b3. That tends to be your only option in both stances seeing that Nightwing dosent have a godlike dash such as Batman and the flash

Uh...what? Do you close your eyes during Escrima? His forward dash EASILY outpaces Supernova.

Agreed. He's very fast during Escrima.

Ev1d3nts: Against Black Adam I keep trying to approach with Jump 3 followed by his air projectile. When the opponent goes down, I start the pressure. My tip is: Don't stay on the floor, cause he'll try to thunderbolt or grab you

Couldn't you just flying grayson out of the way(if you dont want to burn meter in staff stance). Only did this once but it worked. Haven't tested whether this works consistently or not

Maybe, the point would be to try and punish the Supernova, not just simply get out of the way.

The only bad matchup right now that I honestly think even POSSIBLY requires a counter-pick, is Hawkgirl. So, whoever beats her (Arrow for sure, Cyborg might be a good choice).

Interesting. I don't like GA as much as I thought I would but Cyborg looks alright. How do you think batman will do as a sub.

i went up against against a joker and how on earth do I beat this fool? I can't punish this stupid string he does and when he cancels into the little crowbar smash special I can't punish that either. Plus he never stops jumping and i can't punish him.

The Crowbar Special (not the F3/B3) is -25. It's about as free of a punish as you'll get in this game.

And if his strings are giving you problems, pushblock. And use Staff Stance on him.

Pushblocking thats what I was missing. And I couldn't reach the crowbar special with any escrima moves. I'll switch to staff next time. Whats the farthest reaching move in staff that I can special cancel or combo off of. Is there anything I can do about jump ins?

Okay, you have b1 and b2 and stand 3. At least one of the three should easily connect after blocking the Crowbar special.

And that would be stand 1 in Staff unless you want a tight punish with stand 2.

As for Jump ins...no. Joker's one of the few characters with a better j3 than Nightwing. You're just going to have to take the block.

Alright amazing. What about worse jump ins? I tend to try and do jump 3 into wing dings but if they jump first I never stand a chance. Then again I've only played like 4 different people.

Makes since, I guess i was thinking in terms of if his trait being activated. So do you immediately commit to use meter or wait in case he uses short distance bomb?
