Actually, the "bane" of my existance are The flash, Catwoman and Harley Quinn... Of course, they are not zoners! But i'm having a hell of a timekeeping them away!

I never face those obsticles. I know its still a new game, with us not even seeing the tip of the iceberg yet let alone all of the rest of it. Honestly I'm glad I picked a character that is both challenging to become good at (giving me pride in being good), and a character that people don't look into allowing me to pick up free wins simply by the opponent not knowing what to expect.

Greetings Bane players! As Doomsday mainer but i decided from day 1 give bane a try aswell so now its that time. Thx every1 for helpoful combos so far, pretty neat stuff :)

So i was messing on lab this morning and ofc you all might know this already but with lvl3 Venom activated and u do Stage transition its adds its damage aswell! :confused: I Dont want to sound n00b or anything but if sumthin that powers u up add damage something u cant possible block anyway is bit broken (since i play bane i dont mind) but has any1 cryed bout this matter yet? :D

I've seen many a thread that seems to somewhat dismiss finishing combo's with the air grab a.k.a. ring toss. While it is true that it is not as damaging as the command grab and doesn't leave you in as desirable of a position, I like to think i've found one case where it can be of use.

The time I like to use it, or try to use it, is after I've Venom charged someone near the corner since you end up on the other side of them OR I myself am near the corner and get a combo off either of those situations. If you finish any of the combo's with the air grab (except for a simple b23, air grab) Bane throws them behind him. This puts your opponent in the corner allowing you to work that corner game of his. Plus I'm not gonna lie, it does look pretty sweet too.

For any comic readers, this week's Talon issue begins an arc with Bane as the villain. I've read it and it's actually pretty good, DC decided to make Bane's appearance more akin to Rises than the Knightfall look.

So Bane's jumping 3 and jumping d+3 gives him advantage on block. It's not -9. I'm beating Lex's charge which is 6 frames supposedly with Bane's 1 and 2 jabs.

It's -9 when done at the highest height. It changes depending how low you are.

I'm doing the same thing with the ring toss. It's a good way to reverse position if you're getting back into a corner. Also, the 223 combo into a ring toss slams the opponent forward and leaves Bane in a good position to follow up with other wake up stuffers. There's definitely useful ways to use ring toss. Plus, like you said, it looks awesome.

I dunno if anyone has mentioned this yet or not, but two dashes puts you in command grab and double punch range from full screen. You can buffer the inputs for attacks off the second dash too.

ffffbf2 gets you a dash into double punch. The same goes for the command grab.

You can also command grab after you land a double punch without moving if you time it right.
 
has anyone found good use for f1??? so far i think its a great meaty to use when you dont have a read on the opponent to safely push them in the corner...wat do u guys think

Haven't read through this entire thread yet so it may have been said before, but:

After Double Punch, if you immediately do j.d+3 (like, hold up-forward while doing DP so you can jump ASAP) it hits really meaty. Haven't had a chance to test it in live matches yet but it seems like it will beat out most stuff and since you can do it really deep, it should be safe. And once you get them to respect it, you get an ugly 75/25 mixup with ( j.d+3, combo ) or ( empty jump d+1, venom ( DP or body press ) ).

If you end 113 with raging charge instead of BP or DP, you get a good 50/50 mixup with DP or BP. RC is +20, and BP startup is 20 so the opponent doesn't have any time at all to try and react to something. They have to fully pre-commit to blocking or jumping (probably backdash too) or they get hit.

You could gimmick the shit out of people who don't know what's going on, since you're parking a giant active hitbox on their corpse while they wakeup into it, and it has to be blocked as a crossup. But ultimately just a gimmick.

It looks fucking hilarious, though.

The first I found was on Ferris. Found two in the Bat Mansion, outside. He forces you into a 50/50 state and guessing wrong kills the rest of your life bar.

Can go from level 2 to level 3 and still take kills. Bane is a monster with environment use, remember this.

While I'm finishing up with my research on which stages grant death combos, here's a better background transition/z bounce with more carry.

j.d+3, b.32, z.bounce, b.3, j.2, 123 a.grab Takes them right to if not very close to the corner.

Indeed, but it requires meter which Bane likes to save.
I suprisingly don't find too much need to save meter. It ends up becoming wasted with how much meter Bane ends up getting.

Also, someone (hint hint) should do a guide on exactly how much meter Bane gets per attack and combo. That person would be a rugged wild man among men.
