It depends on the connection. I had trouble too but then I stopped playing people with 2 bars lol. 3-4 is fine and u3 is easier to land

Diamond Dust
I'm really enjoying playing her. She's like the lovechild of Sub-Zero and Shiva, two of my fave video game characters ever! And I love the not so subtle Final Fantasy X reference for her "Diamond Dust" combo, lol. Overall, it seems that her simpler combos aren't as difficult to execute as some (lots of "1" heavy ones), but I need to get comfortable with some of the more difficult ones that you guys are coming up with.
 
I'm posting this here because I figure if you're in a character subforum discussion you care about getting better and maximizing your beastmode. I'd like to get some lobbies going with like-minded players especially players who are already established and don't mind deigning to play online with unknowns. My XBL is Bolo Yeung. Add me!

How do you all deal with jumpy oppenents? Thats like the thing of this game it seems. Down 2 works sometimes....

For jump in's I do d2 ~ b1 ~ 22 ~ daggers or ice berg. depending on whether you want to do wake up pressure or know them away and zone. Although, I need to experiment more with d2 because I think I can get a stronger follow up.

Id like for them to change the input on flash freeze to bf2 instead on dbf2 im getting iceberg way to much theor change iceberg to df2

Is killer frost's f114 string really +4? there's times when I try to go for the guaranteed d1 but I get outpoked. My timing may be off tho...

I'm free to jump ins and cross ups. any ideas of a good anti-air and whiff punish?

d+2(against weaker jump attacks) or mb f+3.

If you're making the jump attack whiff punish with d+1~slide if you're close or just slide.

Probably. It's at least some advantage. If you set the CPU to do a reversal Flash uppercut(6 frames) you can beat it out with her 7 frame d+1. It's weird timing though. Gotta do it early, like when her foot is still on screen from the kick.

Hey guys, I'm a noob who is maining KF. I have worked on some of the combos here and created a few easy as pie ones (like 32% dmg area) on my own on day one. Problem is, I'm terrible at fighting games. Is there any PS3 players who wants to have some online matches in a lobby or something to help teach me? I would really appreciate it, thanks.

/EDIT: Also, I've been having trouble against Solomon Grundy. He has that lunge that has armor and cannot be blocked. And especially when the CPU is using it, it is really cheap as the CPU ALWAYS knows when I'm going to slide and does it right away. But ignoring the CPU part, anybody have any tips for dealing with Grundy?

You need to Zone grundy HARD, if you're playing someone who likes to corpse cancel, you can check him with iceberg. If he gets near you, you need to get a read and get out. Seriously just use daggers/iceberg, and if you can catch a dash(not corpse walk or wtv it is) with a slide you're golden for the rest of the round, granted you guess right every time.

d2 > Slide > U+3 > 2,2 xx Command Grab MB > nj.2 > f1,1,3 xx Daggers

Gives you standing reset and is easy enough to land if you practice. Does a shit ton of damage.

I just found something worth nothing. While play with zaf a bunch, I noticed when ending in F113 xx Daggers, if I would go for F3 it would whiff every time. I checked this out in the lab, I did this vs Lex and Catwoman, both blocked it normally, but it seems as though Raven's back walk speed is so fast that it whiffs every time. So what I do for her instead is when I get MB Command Grab, I charge trait a bit then either go into B1 xx Slide or F3. I think that characters with fast backwalk speeds won't be worth ending in F113 unless going in for a kill

Try f+1,1,2~daggers instead. I noticed Aquaman can walk back out of f+3 too after f+1,1,3~daggers but not f+1,1,2~daggers.


Ok tried it. Raven cannot walk out after f+1,1,2~daggers.

Doomsday is another character that can walk out of f+1,1,3~daggers but not f+1,1,2.

You are pressing the "2" too soon. Make sure you do the full input before pressing the button and you will have more success.

Vs characters like Batman and Shazam who have really good jumping attacks that you have to react to early or eat a full combo, I've found that dashing under them works best as you avoid them completely. They also have more recovery when they land (if they do an air attack) so you can check them with a slide once you have dashed.

ya im having trouble getting flash freeze as well but i have to use the analog stick cause xbox dpad is horrible.

I tend to forget Frost has flash freeze, but MB flash freeze is very effective against characters with a strong offensive game (batman mainly)

OK every opponent I've played at Civil war a GL. I beat two and lost to blackula's and I have to fight Sahib's tomorrow.

I literally learned the MU as I played the tourney, but I still need more experience. I don't think I can zone, I definitely can't jump, I can duck his projectile, and I and parry his low into overhead. Am I missing anything else?

f1,1,3 is pretty safe, though I prefer F1,1,2. I'm certainly no expert on her, but I find those two strings to be the best ones she has.

I'm having the hardest time ending a combo in f112 - MB grab from the LEFT side. From the right side I have no problems. I had to turn the game off because I was so frustrated lol
