See.. I'm not even a fan.. But the thing is.. He is an easy target. Superman can fly, heat vision, cold breath, Batman has money, gadgets and vehicles... and Aquaman...Basically a merman King.. Can speak to water creatures, live underwater... He would have been better created as a female character.. Would have been neutral or had more respect that way. His powers just don't cut it against.. Say.. The rest of the JL. But again.. I am glad NRS gave him a badass edge in this title.This.
I've never seen a version of him that was a pansy outside of maybe the old, old cartoons, and things like Family Guy skits. In Justice League (dude cut his own hand off to save his son in his first appearance), JLU, ALWAYS in the comics.... He's been a badass.
His character is what is the most interesting thing. He's so independent and prideful, yet noble. Everyone rejects him, hates him, or thinks he's a joke, and in his head he says "I don't care, you still need my help and protection, so you're gonna get it, whether you like it or not." There's something very cool about that.
And finally, recently, they've been giving more attention to the version with both hands and the awesome trident. Thankfully, not that the hook hand wasn't cool at times too. I just prefer it this way.
Funny, considering he's matched Wonder Woman before.... who is arguably the second most powerful member of the team, and one of the most skilled when it comes to combat. I get that you probably mean in just describing him to people, but still. He's really that good. Not being able to fly is his only disadvantage really, and he makes up for it with the unique water-breathing, and telepathic abilities (limited as they are). He's just really really strong/durable, and a great fighter. I'm also hoping they get around to more abilities with the trident in the actual comics. At least it's confirmed to be indestructible though.See.. I'm not even a fan.. But the thing is.. He is an easy target. Hahahaha I totally get what you mean.... He's hard to sell, from the surface. I can definitely agree with that. I just think he's fascinating when you actually give him a shot, I guess. Didn't mean to come off like I was coming at you or anything... Just trying to explain why he's awesome to me! Yeah, he's definitely very good in this game. I'm quite happy with how they represented him.I get you man, and appreciate that you're a fan!
Just saying he does not truly appeal to many.. Look at young kids getting into comics for the first time.. Who is that daddy? That's Superman- he can fly! Who is that daddy? That's Aquaman- he can.. Talk to water creatures and live underwater... But is a good fighter!!!!! Majority of kids flock to the one who can fly. But I digress... He has one of the only true AA's in the game and some neat stuff.. Hope he stays competetive!
HEY! You come back here and take that back! This is a forum, this is no place for personal opinions! Only my opinions! Which are facts!*Runs away*
anywhere in particular i should start reading? if hes as bad ass as you say he is i would like to read that aquamanSince the New 52 Reboot DC has really been addressing some of the "lol aquaman" stuff. He's now pretty badass in the comics and in this game. Did anyone else like it how in the story he was less "You're evil and this is wrong!" and more "You're giving in to Superman!? Quit acting like a bitch!"
New 52: Aquaman #1 or New 52: Justice League #1anywhere in particular i should start reading? if hes as bad ass as you say he is i would like to read that aquaman
New 52 issue #1 is a great place to start. You could technically start with #0 if you wanted since it's out, but I personally prefer to read that right after #13. There have been 18 released so far, and counting. It's worth the read, many people have been won over and impressed by the series. Johns is excellent at re-invigorating characters (see Hal Jordan).anywhere in particular i should start reading? if hes as bad ass as you say he is i would like to read that aquaman
Corp charge can punish them as wellThis totally going to get lost in here but VERY important info:
DF1 is -8 on block. The only moves that I've found to punish it are Superman F3, Flash DB3, and Superman Super.
DF1 MB is -6 or -7 on block. The only moves that I found to punish it are Flash DB3 and Superman Super.
I know this doesn't make much sense but it can't.Corp charge can punish them as well
