Can someone versed in his game tell me how his water shield works? I really don't get it. It absorbs projectiles?

Aquaman's Water Shield doesn't work against low attacks, correct?

Okay so I found an alternate ender to his BnB in 3 xx DB2.

It does slightly more damage than the F2 1+3 ender, and it leaves them on the opposite side.

I figure normally you'll choose the ender based on what side you want them to end up on.

I also found a really hard combo that deals more than anything so far.

Timing is tough for B3 after DB2 MB

never.. ever ever ever ever end with 3~db2. If you want to choose which side they land on then end with F+2, 1+3 or 223. Both do the same damage in your juggles and both splat for an untechable knockdown and leave the opponent close to you.

1. When doing combos with your back to the wall, end the combo with 223. This way you don't lose any damage and still get the untechable knockdown. So, for example.. with your back to wall you would do B+12~DB2, B+12~MB DB2, 22~DB1, 223 for 40%, and the opponent is in the corner.

2. His F+13 string is adv on block. In the corner you can use this string and the opponent must block a D+1~DB1 0r D+1~DF1. F+13 ends with an overhead launcher that can be interrupted in between with a parry or armor. You can use F+1~DB1 as a low option mix up and this cannot be interrupted. However, F+13 and F+1~DB1 can be fuzzy guarded every time once your opponent gets used to it. When this happens use F+13 and F+1, then B+12 and this beats the fuzzy guard.

When doing stage interaction combos where you bounce the opponent off of the background, do not use B+3, just use jumping 3 as its more damage. For example, B+12~SI(stage interaction), Jumping 3, 22~MB DB2, 22~DB1, F+2, 1+3 does more damage than B+12~SI(stage interaction), B+3, Jumping 3, 22~MB DB2, 22~DB1, F+2, 1+3

Well you don't always want the opponent close to you.

Also I found the strongest ender is 22 xx BF2

here's some combos i did, aquaman sure can pack lots of damage if u bounce the oponent off the wall and stuff
(btw i know the quality sucks, yeah sorry about that..)enjoy

Could someone please give a detailed explanation on how his trait works?
I doubt there are any frame specifics on it, but this is what I have gathered:
-The trait lasts only a couple of seconds
-The trait can be activated at any time as long as it is ready (During neutral, while attacking and while being attacked both when you are in a combo or blocking a string)
-The ability is that the opponent who is hitting aquaman with a GROUNDED string, will get less hitstun when hitting, resulting in Aquaman "slipping" out of the combo and being able to block/do a move.
-The purpose of the trait will most likely be one of these:
1: Recognize you are being comboed and activate the trait to slip out of the combo (Maybe punish or interupt whe you "slip out"
2: Activate the trait pre emptively after unsafe strings or during neutral game to discourage people going on the offense, and use that to your advantage and start the zoning game over again.
-The counter to this trait will probably be to go straight to d+2, b+3/f+3 or just throw, but when used to "burst" in combos, that won't be useful.
-The meta game might eventually change to people stopping their combos short to bait the trait and then throw or something else.

so basically,it only works on ground combos?honestly,i find his trait a little too weak compared to other characters..
To be fair though, the rest of his tools are really solid. The trait it's honestly is just a bonus for him, and characters that have to do combos on the ground to access big damage will have trouble with it.

Not at all weak when used properly.

If you are doing an unsafe string and you realize that they are blocking it, you don't have to worry about being open to a punish (besides quick d2s), just pop your trait as the string ends and start blocking! You'll only have to eat the first hit of their punish.

Or, if they start comboing you on the ground (and you're quick enough) it acts like a damn combo breaker!

are you serious? "hey i throw out some unsafe bullshit, cause if it gets blocked and my opponent trys to punish, i just use my trait", "oh my opponent trys to crossover me? i dont care, if i guess/block wrong, i just activate trait".
i think its one of the most powerfull if not the most powerfull trait in the game.

played with aquaman and i have to say im really digging him as one of my top 5 mains. i also think neather realm studios made him more of a bad ass instead of a joke.

Since the New 52 Reboot DC has really been addressing some of the "lol aquaman" stuff. He's now pretty badass in the comics and in this game. Did anyone else like it how in the story he was less "You're evil and this is wrong!" and more "You're giving in to Superman!? Quit acting like a bitch!"

he was always a BAMF
This.

I've never seen a version of him that was a pansy outside of maybe the old, old cartoons, and things like Family Guy skits. In Justice League (dude cut his own hand off to save his son in his first appearance), JLU, ALWAYS in the comics.... He's been a badass.

His character is what is the most interesting thing. He's so independent and prideful, yet noble. Everyone rejects him, hates him, or thinks he's a joke, and in his head he says "I don't care, you still need my help and protection, so you're gonna get it, whether you like it or not." There's something very cool about that.

And finally, recently, they've been giving more attention to the version with both hands and the awesome trident. Thankfully, not that the hook hand wasn't cool at times too. I just prefer it this way.
