his outfit is redesigned and very detailed, why do you think its lacking?
They're saying it lacks the polished high polygon count look that the other playable characters have. He looks sort of bland, like the NPC in the storymode we've seen so far. Characters that aren't playable have lower polygon counts and less small details put into their models. Just compare how Shazam looks to Black Adam.
I still think Black Adam will be a playable character if Injustice. But if what you say is true, he might at least still be fightable in Story Mode or Mission Mode, and they'll just give him Shazam's moveset. I remember MK9 Challenge Tower had a few missions where you fought as (or against) some generic looking characters that were just given another characters moveset (the first one that comes to mind is the mission with Johnny Cage where you could play as his director).
It could be the pictures themselves that kind of throws me off. The cape has very sharp edges and no shading and it also does not have a crease where the armour on his shoulders end. Around his midsection I have no idea what is going on... what is that cloth that is near his belt and why is it so messed up. Also, his face looks generic and he doesn't have pointy ears :S. Maybe it is just the pictures that make it look distorted but I am just not convinced. His boots are extremely detailed I will give you that.

Oh, so this is the age old he's not my character so he doesn't deserve a spot play. So, if the shoe was on the other foot and this was Manhunter would you be hype and positive or still playing devil's advocate about poly count and texture quality?

Yeah I just re-watched the Grundy vs GL battle arena and Grundy picks it up and throws it at GL.
there arent many characters better suited for this game than Adam so im not mad at him being in, but there are definitely are more unique ones

There's no reason to believe that at all aside from people saying "it's likely" which is why Megaman totally got patched into MvC3. The comment that sparked it is a year old, and has never been repeated. We haven't seen proof of concept even once.
