Honestly I dont think I've really seen a Superman combo go for more than two or three shots before ending in GTFO laser. I get the feeling i'm gonna see some Superman stuff that might impress me in his Sinestro fight.

Let's hope. Batman's shown off some really good moves, I hope Superman does too. But I'm really looking forward to Sinestro and Hawkgirl, I really like both of their designs in this.

You being a comic-buff was my assumption. In a forum where the members consists of FG players, you're fair share seems pretty large.
As for your statements on Grundy. I guess that's a good thing, but I still don't see it confirming anything. I don't see any Arkham City fans scauffing at this game, which has shown many other famous and popular well known characters...and Grundy is what seals the deal for them. Grundy was in 1 fight, that lasted no more than 10 minutes. Hard to see why he would turn heads who weren't already turned by others from Arkham City if we're going by that logic.

Seems I misinterpreted you. I thought you were saying Grundy didn't really turn any heads towards the game and there weren't any people that would have in incentive to pick up IGAU because of inclusion. Yeah, if someone didn't like it before, they won't like it even if Grundy, hell if anyone was added to the roster.
I mean hell...Grundy has been featured in a lot of stuff that even just casual fans that watch the cartoons, or animated movies would know. As well as other games...

So yeah...thanks for sharing the testimonials, maybe it holds some merit...but I still don't see Grundy as any sort of inclusion solely to "bait" in Arkham City fans. Does his recent appearance help? Of course. But with his resume, I can't help but think he is far more geared towards actual DC comic diehards, as well as the fighting game audience who enjoy grapplers as you stated.

Yes, he does bait Arkham fans, as long as they happen to already be fighting game fans though. As for who he was geared towards, I believe only the devs can know that for sure.

theres a difference between spam and zoning though if you use the same 1 move repeatedly you're spamming...like 5 hadoken's in a row would be spamming

i dont mean someone just standing there (thats a dumbass) i mean fighing back or trying to jump over and you just time it right and do the same thing 5 straight times....that's spamming or if you're whole gameplan is 1 move or 2 moves to win you spammin bruh
rushdown players are annoying sometimes but its not a big deal they're probably just better players if they destroy you like that and the juggle commment is hilarious

My "standing there" comment wasn't literal. It means failing to get close to me when I'm only doing one thing.

What you're describing is still zoning. If you're able to win using only 1 or 2 moves it's the other's guys fault for being terrible. Situation's like that only happen when the victim isn't using their character's tools to get around those things.

In high level play, do you see what you described ever happen? No, because once you fully know what you're doing you anally rape the person trying to pull that shit.

i mean yeah the person is probably not that good but that doesnt make the other person any less of a douche for spamming and in some games some characters arent good against zoning, believe it or not everyone doesnt have a projectile or teleport so to speak but i see what you mean if you're really good you can more than likely avoid it but everyone isnt a tournament player and if you are one why play against bad/average players? oh and no its spamming, zoning is just keeping a distance and doing moves that support that, if you chose to pick 1 move and repeat it over and over you're a spammer

I get like... no ragemail in any fighter I play. Keep in mind in MK9, I was like 4000-930 with Raiden and in SCV, I'm like 3100-1000 and alternate between Nightmare/Voldo/Astaroth. My whole life should be ragemail and I get so little of it, it surprises me every single time.

Lol, I used Zwei, arguably the worst character in the game, and still got rage mail. Maybe you're just not hateable?

You're only a douche if you're doing it against someone who's just starting the game. You don't need to be tournament level to avoid Zoning, even if you using a character without easy moves to get past zoning. I only recently started attending tournaments but I still got past it. For example I use:
Liu Kang against Kenshi, Kanji against Elizabeth, Tager against Lamba etc.

"zoning is just keeping a distance and doing moves that support that"
If you're able to use one move to do the above then yes, you're zoning

Online play annoys me because of some people. I stopped playing SCV online because so many people would pick fucking Ezio and spam his damn crossbow. Played one round of Mass Effect 3 online, was doing the best I could considering the character type I picked, and heard nothing but bitching about me, so that was it for that game too. Stopped playing MvC3 very often because there are only 2 ways to play offline, and that's Arcade or Versus, no versus CPU. So yeah. Looking forward to a game where it sounds like the community is pretty respectful. I just hope I'll be any good at it.
