*Clap *Clap ...Well stated good sir! I totally agree! If command grabs are as we hoped (unblockable) then Grundy will be a force to be reckoned with for sure. He seems to have the tools to "Get in dat ass!' and do some major damage. I would predict that sense he was one of the first developed characters that NRS has had enough time to make sure he'll at least be viable to a point if not top tier :)

An entire YEAR of talking about this game has gone by, and I dont think ONE person has mentioned Bizarro until now.

Fucking thank you, friend. I dont care if I only want him onboard because I love the roller coaster. Itd be worth it.

But anyway...Grundy looked REALLY good in that fight. I have every intention of labbing him out and seeing if we click.
Those chain throws made me cringe. So painfully delicious.

he only has armor on his walking grab for no meter. You can meter burn his power button chain grab starter for the first few frames for 1 hit of armor. you can meter burn his cleaver swipe move to go thru most projectiles. his grave rot special does aoe damage to those unfortunate enough to be standing next to him.

I can almost guarantee that he will be METER dependent. Dude needs to get in to start his offense otherwise its time to play turtle and hope for an AA punish. Swamp hands only holds that long after you blow meter on it and Seismo stomp while good might not be good enough to get him inside very far before they get up and force him back out.

He has armor, but he has to get close. To get close he likely needs meter. To access some of his armor he needs to chain grapple to self buff. To chain grapple he has to get in. To get in he needs meter....the cycle repeats.

Grundy is going to be a comeback beast just like Gief. A VERY strong character you have to respect lest you lose everything with a single mistake. If the meter builds for characters blocking their opponents then Grundy will be taking arrows then forcing me to run away scared with up backs hoping to avoid ex swamp hands. God this is awesome. He forces footsie mindgames so hard that even before the game comes out I feel like I'm playing chess vs him.

Grave Rot is his Miasma ability that gives him the PBAoE cloud around him, but Green Lantern didn't get hit by it. We still don't know if its' a damage move or a projectile blocker like Aquaman's Water Armor ability.

I know what AoE is, but what does the PB in front mean?

So grave rot is a stink cloud GTFO that essentially works like Gief's spinning Lariat in its purpose? Yes. I'm also diggin his armor is only 1 hit. Screw Hulk and his 4 hits of armor BS.

A 7 hit chain throw is a bit much.
He will probably continue the rhymm where he left off when he starts a new chain.

Paulo explained his super a bit last night.
When he uses it he goes into "zombie mode", lasts for 6 seconds, all his buttons become throw, and he doesn't have armor, he just can't be knocked down.

I think anyway.

It is hard to tell if he goes for the fourth rep or just runs in, but he definitely gets punished. Hopefully it is something that is not super viable, but still exists for the sake of the chracters "lore"
