You beat me to it. I just picked sonya up so I am certainly not playing her to her potential, but on paper i can see a lot of things she can do that most of the cast may have difficulty with. But until she starts getting played at that level, there is no way to know if her opponents can find a way around it or not. Its really confusing.

Kenshi is not better than or Sonya or top five. He's at number six and people need to learn how to not think of Jade or Kano vs him when doing his tier position.

Yes. Cyrax does not have a 2-8 losing match-up and he only has one 3-7. Playing Cyrax is a stroll in the park compared to playing Kenshi.

i think it works, its a 10 frame cancel and there are a ton of ways around it but i think cancel d1 into ms is viable, ur opponent has to be 2-3 frames ahead of the ms cancel , or jump out which can be punish, they could also fast special it or armor somehow but u could cancel into block so only elbow dash would punish it, but i still think cancelling d1 into ms is viabl ebecause it is a 10 frame cancel and there is pushback, obviously its bad if you telegraph it and do it like i said over and over

it can be interrupted by a full combo. sonya players love to do d1 ms overhead tackle and that can be interrupted by a full combo with kitana with standing 2, which comes out in 11 frames. Imagine what people like cage, kang and kabal can do to d1 ms with their fast, advancing normals.
It's 8-2. You would have to play someone as sound with Lao as PL to understand why that match-up is horrendous for Kenshi. PL's style combined with the weakness of Kenshi make it so he is the best at exploiting Kenshi's weakness in that match-up.
You have valid reasons but I think we're all forgetting that one of the main reasons Kenshi is EVEN look as a "top five" character is because of Pig. If it wasn't for Pig, no one would be looking at Kenshi as anything close to top five. Pig's placements and success mislead a lot of the newcomers into thinking Kenshi is way better than he really is.
