"Fantastic Sorcerer" A Quan Chi Combo Video: By Devildigimon (KOMING SOON!!!!)

Yo...Quan Chi is gdlk in this game. ;) I'm making him one of my mains.

(COMBO VIDEO IS NOW LIVE ^_^ )

Quan Chi. One of the more popular characters in the MK series, post MK4, is back better than ever. I think this character has tons of potential. Deceiving safe pokes and block strings, unblockable set ups, and can play quite well at all ranges on the screen.

I made Quan Chi my 2nd best character. And since I really like Quan Chi's fighting style (it's more flashier over my main character...who's quite boring lol), I figured I'd make a combo video and show em' some luv. ^_^

I take you through basic BnBs and then things get a tad tricky and the combos do more damage (I try to max out on damage through out the whole vid). I provided accurate "potential" EX damage for combos that could have ended in an EX move instead of what I used. And know, any combo in my vid, would have done 14% EXTRA DAMAGE with Quan Chi's Skeletal Boost (Damage) activated. So please keep that in mind. :p I do hope you enjoy the video. Gotta like them spoilers Rabbit haha. Yeah EX Trance is fun stuff mid combo. kill em both ways. Quan Chi is a troll like that. :p

Quan Chi has really deceiving safe pokes and combo strings. He can 2in1 certain pokes/combo strings to make them go from unsafe to you and your opponent to be at nutrual...or you being safe. He can play at all ranges. He has some nice rush down options if u want to keep up the momentum of the match (which I feel is VERY strong in his game... ;] ).

Quan Chi has guarantee Unblockable set ups and resets with EX Ground Blast. NEVER do EX Ground Blast mid combo unless it's after 1,1,2. Because it causes the furthest knock back possible. NEVER DO EX SKULL EVER. It's absolutely worthless. Sky Drop can be used for insane gimmicks (because it can be Kara Canceled in air...and you can control where he lands. In front or behind the opponenet) and recovery isn't too bad on whiff. If you get blocked...you're fucked lol.

I honestly believe Quan Chi is very solid character if played well.

Edit:

Forgot to mention. Quan Chi has strong anti air too. His Uppercut is redic fast. And standing 1 has deceiving range lol.

ReyTheGreat: Short answer, NO! lol...but Skeletal Boost can't be 2in1'ed (or else it'd be ideal after EVERY 1,1,2 ;] ). And you can't do it after Trance because the game simply won't allow you to.

35% quan chi combo. i love this combo cuz it's balls-easy to confirm into even online
j.1 -> 1,1,2 x trance -> b+2, 1 -> dash -> b+2, 1 -> dash -> d+2 (uppercut)

38%
j.2 -> b+2,1 -> dash -> b+2, 1 -> dash -> 1,1,2 x trance -> f+1,2,1+2

Nice thread going! I personally <3 quan chi, as he is loads of fun to play. I'm in the process of making a combo/tutorial video for him as well. Look forward to seeing yours digimonemperor!

here's a simple one

<-2,1 trance, 2,1 xray 45% (60 % with boost)

i love this combo since it's simple and fast to execute plus it does more or equal damage to some of the longer ones ( why do the extra 2 hits to less damage you know)

This is a fantastic thread. I recently discovered the awesomeness of Quan Chi, and I would really like to see a good guide like the shang tsung one on this site. I want to make Quan my main, but who is a good choice for a partner in 2v2? I have tried out Cage, and I like that, but is there a better combo?

Very nice video, I'll definitely learn a lot from it. Great job! :china:
