Video/Tutorial Exposed: The Ultimate Jade Glow Guide

Thank you so much Joe, I appreciate EXACTLY what you just said. No offense to anyone who has criticized the material we put forth, but you nailed it on the head, showcasing ALL information is Power. If we Jade players start Glowing more and more during these pressure moments, we will be seeing a lot more Jades "come out of the closet", so to speak, lol.
No problem. I just came back to playing Mk after a 3 month hiatus.

Today is my first day back, and this video is very helpful! :)

Somebody tell me where Kenshi is so I can start to process the matchup
Kenshi was actually one of my favorite segments because as you can see, there is a reason why Kenshi likes to stay full screen from his opponents...she can glow through a ton of his strings/cancels!

What we need to expose about Kenshi is his hit levels and how to get in on him. I can mash d3 and mix it up with jumping to avoid some of his range game but it's a guessing game at the moment. If we figure out where the holes are, he's as good as kung lao or anybody else from the top tools.

Once you get in, start glowing. He won't have much of an answer.

I am currently uploading the final video, part 5. After it's up, please guys watch the videos and let's get a large discussion going. Krys and I found some very alarming glows and I'm shocked no one is discussing specific glows that they saw. I was shocked that you could glow through 2 of Sindel's main combo starters...

I'll have to sit down and watch the whole footage. I'll be sure to comment.
I already have a question. Lao has a string where he hits you with the hat in his hand and leaves it against you. That doesn't count as a projectile does it?

I'm not exactly sure what you are referring to, but I do know that unless the hat comes out of his hands (as in leaves his body, like throwing) she has to EN GLOW.

And yes, actually write down on a piece of paper all the glows that grabbed your attention or you think are worthy of discussing. This is how we will formulate new strategies by actually SEEING the glows... ;)

I'm actually waiting till the series is done before I provide my feedback on those things.

Being able to glow 4,4 is shocking, I didn't expect that either...like dayum lol.

Showtime has always preached about interrupting Kenshi's forward 3, 2 string with armor so seeing it done was very exciting.

It's a lot to take in, but very interesting so far.

I'm really curious about Sheeva's gaps...I'm pretty sure I know of at least two of the strings.

Fabulous. I have actually been anxiously awaiting your thoughts on some of the material from you since you are one of the few active Jade players left. Krys and I both feel that some of the glows in the guide are game changers in certain MU's.

Jade's too awesome and elegant to quit <3.

I'll definitely have some more thoughts and impressions to follow soon. What I like is that this adds considerable depth to how we currently play the game. It creates mind games for the Jade player and her opponent on when to armor, when to delay/stagger a string to bait armor etc. The main reason why I like this is that it evolves how Jade players play Jade and how the community plays against Jade as well.

I ended up making a string stagger video to help prepare people to deal with armor moves for some of my characters in situations like this :).

You guys might be right, some match ups could get easier as it forces your opponent to think a lot harder on how they want to pressure Jade and with what. It just inspires thinking outside the box, which I love.

Clearly it looks like Sheeva is no problem for Jade. Since she can glow out of grab and punch pressure. Poor poor sheeva. Exposed! lol.
Im going to go back to the first vid and watch it all the way through since all the vids are up and def take down some notes. Another mention is glowing through most of Kenshis tele nonsense seems like gold.

This afternoon RunwayMafia messaged me on PSN and wanted to talk about a few things regarding this current guide, future collaborations, tech, etc... We got in a few "bogus" online matches (using them as a means to converse via bluetooth) and spent most of the time doing random things to purposely running the clock in 3 rounds.

So what's the point of this story.....

In one match, I selected Cyrax and he obviously selected Jade. We were talking / performing randoms actions with the characters such as dash blocking, jumping, executing specials and at one moment I noticed his Jade was just standing there on block. I dashed up to her and performed Cyraxs 2, 1, 2 string and he was able to EN Shadow Glow me on reaction without having anything premeditated! His reaction was so quickly that we kind of paused our conversation for a moment in a WTF kind of manner.

It just goes to show you that with enough dedication and regular practice, EN Shadow Glow could become second nature. If you become very good at executing it, your opponent will have to think twice about how he or she approaches you in a match.
