Tekken Tag Tournament 2 General Discussion

Backdash canceling i can handle. Maybe not at a Korean level just yet, but i can make it happen. My major mobility issue is sidestepping to cause whiffs. This is my first 3d fighter, so when I'm in close and under or applying pressure i get stuck in panic 2d mode. And who said I'm not planning on winning Evo? ;) but really, after Dallas, Tekken is getting my full attention. I plan on being competition ready asap. Fighting games are my shit. Once I get the fundamentals down, I should start leveling up at a reasonable rate. I hope, anyway.

I work M-F 8:30-6:00, boy! By the time I get home and maybe have time to hop on, it's minimum 8:00 PM.

I should be on for a bit on Saturday afternoon I think. Hopefully I'll catch you. I've never fought Ogre (fuck this ANCIENT OGRE shit, it's fucking OGRE and TRUE OGRE) before so you'll need to give me a bunch of matches to get destroyed while I try and absorb his strings.
OK we'll jam soon. And I'll run some Ogre if u want.

Thank you very much bro. Your diligence is greatly appreciated. I have found my team...and it's capo mania! Their too much fun not to play two. But, I have been messing with lars, he seems fun as hell. But all crazy stance and 3,4/4,3 plinking with the capos has me hooked. So fun. And it's the First chick character I've ever played :D

They're pretty fun. Double capo team has strength according to some of ATL players, I just can't bring myself to do it though. (Christie was the first girl character I played too, she's the only one I play in any fighting game really).

I was messing with Capos today, you back KBDC with them hella fast. And that 50/50 from relax is cool. But I cant land 2 after 4~3 from relax consistant. Any tips? Slips

Well the Koreans have been using the Tag Assault constantly for over a year now. And they are levels above us.
Their is a korean player named YJshinhw who just moved to the US when the console game came out, and naturally, he's number 1 ranked on psn and bodies everybody because he's been playing the game for a year b4 anyone else.

He said he couldn't get passed Warrior rank in korea and couldn't beat the high level players there and couldn't even touch the top level players. And they do TA all the time.

Finally fixed my tekken freezing issues. If anyone experiences freezing issues with their tekken tag let me know.

Screw it. I'm just going to roll with Forest / Marshall for a while. I already have good knowledge of their skillsets, so I'm just going to spend less time on learning new moves and more time just learning the game.

I'm sure that I'll swap out a character to learn someone new, one of these days...

Dude every move from relaxstance I just mash out, also can you give me capo to 15 moves. And wtf you do use as a TA filler?
Hold the Tag button if you're not sure what to do, the AI will do an Auto-TA and you'll be able to continue comboing as you please

capo to 15 moves? I use 3,4 for early bound, ff3+4 or ss4,3 for late bound.

Top* 15 moves. Cool and SS 4~3 as combo ender? So an example of the 50/50 would be something like: RLX, 4~3, 1, B!, TA, 3,4 SS 4~3?

Top 15:
df2
uf4
iRLX
RLX 4~3
RLX 3~4
ss4
fc,3+4
uf3,3+4
uf3,3
uf3~d
qcf3
db3,4
df4
b2
fc,df4

ss4,3 I don't really use as a combo ender. If I hit with RLX 4~3 I usually do this:
RLX, 4~3, 1, B!, TA, 3,4 ws13, RLX 2,f+3

I forgot to shout out Smoke_Of_Finland the other day. I played him in a 7-8 game set over the weekend right before I went out to booze it up. The connection was remarkably good. MAN is the online for this game ridiculous.

SoF, I swear you should stick with Bruce/Bryan. You never actually played that team against me but I think those are your two best characters! Have you still been playing?

Need more games, people. I've been getting into SSF4AE and I don't wanna get rusty in Tag.

Add slimjimppj on PSN for some games

I am getting better with Heihachi as I am in the game itself. I like Heihachis tools very much, all I need is the execution, he is very versatile like Bruce, just harder to play. Bryan and Bruce are fairly easy to play, (taunt-jet uppercut is actually easier to perform than EWGF) Jinpachi is not execution heavy either, just a bit risky. We are having a week long break from studying and I took the time to learn tag assault combos yesterday. I like Heihachi and Jinpachi too much to drop them and I prefer to use Bryan/Heihachi and Bruce/Jinpachi. They all have their own stuff that makes them fun to play and I am sticking with all 4 of them.

I actually broke my back trying taunt-JU. I find EWGF much easier. When I was trying Bryan out I just settled for taunt-F214 which does 50-odd damage.

Anyways I'm in a dilemma in team picking. I want one team to be team tracksuit (Bruce/Slim Bob) while the other is Oriental henchmen (Feng/Heihachi). Problem is I think the relationship between the latter pair is highly negative. Does the netsu chart really matter though? If Feng hates Heihachi can they not team up?
