Come On Die Young
thanks man,
got another question if you or anyone could help,
so far in the build whats the story with the jip/jik? i seen it the flash thread in the move list there was a section for air normals, seems like it be more like SFs air normals rather than mk9s jip/jiks
It's not the same as mk9. There are unique air normals like most other games. However, I noticed specifically for Nightwing that his jump kick knocksdown rather than granting a combo. I'm not sure if this is the same for all chars.

Thanks for the info JR,

but LBSH, how can a game thats 6 months from release be a pre alpha build? I believe the core game is there, it's all balance work to be done now.
They don't bring the newest builds everywhere. They keep the old one until they reveal a new playable character to show off.

Remember the MK9 demo? That was an earlier build than what we were testing at NRS and it came out hella later.

IN TRAINING
they really need to fix these floaty jumps in this game its hard even cross up and to land and looks very like a last minute idea...also i kno its a demo but this has slow down... i noticed it a couple of times when me and other characters would do special attacks at the same time. also with the overall feel i have so far with this game .. i believe zoning characters are going to be strong...due to the fact theres sooo much real estate to deal with in this game.however if its like mk9 stage size is gonna play a major factor in the development of the game

I have a suggestion that goes for this game and ALL other FGs at highest level

I still hate the walk speeds of the characters, and if they leave it so you can put so much distance between eachother on the stages then there will be problems.

Im curious as to how they will handle chip, because if it's MK type Chip damage, then zoners will rule this game.

But who knows,

I would like to know the properties of Forward and Backward dashing, like can you jump out of a dash, can you do moves out of dashes, can you back to block after forward dashing. If they are like SF dashes, then the chip will decide what type of game this will be.
You're wrong

this is NOT the current build

and also http://testyourmight.com/threads/injustice-understanding-pre-alpha-demo-stage.24607/
6 months pre release the graphics for the game are pretty much done. The graphic designers on the team don't have that much to do. If NRS wants to earn more money with the game, they'll let the graphic designers come up with alternate costumes for the game.

What is now going on is the usual programming. They're looking for bugs and trying to get rid of them. They're also programming the last bits of the mechanics and so on and the most part of this last stage of the game is ... advertising the game and that's what they're mainly doing right now.

People who talk about how this is just a "pre Alpha build", or what so ever are either blind, or don't exactly know how the gaming industry exactly works.
This game is not in the Alpha stage and it doesn't have enough time to be long from done. If NRS did it right, the game is nearly done and they're just showing older builds of the game, since the current build is still being worked on every single minute of the work-day.

If THIS is actually the current build ... then damn, be sure that Injustice could come out imbalanced as fuck and waiting for balance-patches could hurt the game A LOT.
THIS IS NOT THE CURRENT BUILD

this build is old as fuckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

lol

Did you think mk9 demo was current too cause that shit was 8 months old lol

I know it's not the current build. You didn't quite understand what I was talking about.

NRS probably already has the game nearly finished. They're tweaking it right now and doing the advertising.
Obviously they have a much more advanced build of the game for themselves, but the people who argue about these two - for us - current builds of the game keep saying that the game is 6 months from being released and that a lot can change.
It's basically pointless to talk about that, since we probably won't see the real current build of the game at all and the game will arrive and it could turn out that some things are quite different than it looks right now.

Wait until the game comes out.
Flash will be broken and useless as fuck and Grundy will have 20 feet range command grabs and grapple the crap out of you from a different stage of the entire arena!

Uuh of course Background's matter when it come's to netcode. One of the reason's netcode is so good in Tekkentag2 I suspect is if you haven't noticed they actually remove graphical element's from the stages when you play online.....

The current console's simply don't have enough processing power to run fighter's (depending on the engine) with all the graphical bell's and whistles at 60fps. There is too much CPU overhead required.

On that note go and do some research and you will find very few games actually run 60fps at all this gen or true 1080p for that matter.

I wish more fighters came out on PC even TTT2 is a pretty big graphical downgrade from the arcade.

Dude this is a BEAST question. This actually means a lot to us international players.

There are many pads for sale around these parts that are PS3 compatible but are not made by sony. An original pad costs the equivalent of $400 here so its no joke to be able to get a perfectly functioning pad for less than half that.
Games like MK that recognize the button you're pressing allow for normal button checks; but games like SF4 are a NIGHTMARE because the input the game calls "circle" is not the circle in your substitute pad.

good shit, hope someone confirms. Just out of curiosity, why where you asking about it?
For me it's just a quality of life thing. I don't want to have to go to the main menu to configure my buttons. I don't want to have to do button checks before every set. You know it's funny actually. Normally in games where you push the button to set it, like in MK9, you don't have to do a button check; you know the button is right because you pushed it yourself. However because of MK9's asinine button presets, you still have to do a button check to confirm you're on the preset that you think you're on.

Agree with THTB about VF5FS, that game has the best button checks in the business.

Even with 30 FPS games like Battlefield 3 and Crysis 2 surpass fighters, when it comes to challenging the system.
There are more than enough 2D fighting games which are over 15 years old and they offer you a shitty netcode. Think about that.

Uh I don't see your point. The reason why those games run at 30fps is because of the graphical quality. They likely cannot run at 60fps at all which is required for most fighting games. Why do you think Tekken Tag 2 which seems be regarded atm as the fighter with the best netcode has stage element's removed when you play online?

The netcode situation is a huge kettle of worm's, but you should know fps netcode is apples and oranges there are certain prediction things they can do (and have been doing for years now) which make sit possible. Fighting games truly are the final frontier in this regard...

Bottom line is the current console hardware is keeping gaming stuck in 2005.
Also consider most of the japanese developers for fighter's didnt realize until very recently how bad the netcode of their games were outside of japan...

Get your guns on. Sheriff is back.
Anyone know if this last build had changed Grundy any? I'm trying to find out if he has any EX moves or other properties to his moveset. Particularly swamp hands or seismic stomp since they are his only ranged attacks. Just wanting to know if he has counters, armor, or ways to knock people toward him or get off his ranged lows quickly. I'm trying to figure out if he has tools to actually open people up yet or if he's still free so any info on him is welcomed.

I doubt he's finished in either case, but I'd love to know if they showed anything more on how he's developing.

as I saw on video he became way faster :)
Yeah I'm thinking he looks faster now too. His normals for the most part looked about like the slower stuff Cyborg had which is good. Saw him miss point blank with seismic stomp though which is a head scratcher on its range, and no one did swamp hands yet. Here's hoping we see more Grundy play and EX fishing in future events. Got some great stuff from this one.
