Ok not really, I doubt the comic has anything to actually do with the game.

If the comic has any connection the game's storyline it'll probably take place before the events of the in-game story. Since there is a future Metropolis stage in the game, I think there is a time skip and prior to that skip Nightwing will be wearing the Robin costume.

Yeah wtf? A Statue of Batman getting pwned? I'm not getting the collector's edition if that's what it comes with. Fuck that shit. Everything else is great but I'm not going to pay $99 for 3 DLC costumes and a comic book. That statue really killed it for me. I'm just going to get the limited edition or whatever if there is one that excludes the lame statue. I'm honestly not a big enough fan of Wonder Woman to hold a statue of her kicking Batman's ass.

As far as I'm concerned, I already have the collector's edition statue for this game:

Let us not forget about "Tower of Babel," and Batman's contingency plan on the scenario where a JL member were to go rogue, for example. Batman's all about preparation. Wonder Woman may have her super strength and everything, but any fan of the DC comics will know and understand that Batman is always prepared for the worst.

Wonder Woman may have her super strength and everything, but any fan of the DC comics will know and understand that Batman is always prepared for the worst.

Thanks to a nanite injected into her ear, Wonder Woman is trapped in a virtual reality battle against an opponent whom she cannot defeat and is her equal in every way. Her refusal to surrender under any circumstance would eventually cause her heart to fail. The nanite is removed by Plastic Man after he recovers.

Again he would only win under extreme cases of bad writing, which with DC writes is kinda most of the time....

Sorry man. I'm not going to participate in a discussion if you're just going to cop out and say bad writing every time a scenario is brought up where Batman can take on a super-powered form. I could care less about anything you say at this point if you're just talking mess on Batman. I've been in thousands of long drawn out discussions in regards to this, I'm not about to jump into another one on TYM. So in summary, some folks happen to enjoy and care about the storylines written in DC Comics. Moving on...

Batman can take on super powered foes sometimes and usually win under reasonable conditions.

However, how he took out Diana in Tower of Babel was just incredibly stupid, its Metal Gear Solid stupid, NANOMACHINES!

Also I very much disagree with Plastic man being in the game, his powers are just not video game friendly. Sure they could make him a Dhalsim clone, but they would really not do him any justice.

I recall Michaelangelo saying something along the lines of envisioning Plastic Man reaching around the world to grab his opponent from the other side of the screen... I feel like the Netherrealm folks are creative enough to add such a cool version of Dhalsim to the game. Remember, they were describing Injustice as completely over the top... So Plastic Man, to me, is not outside the realm of possibilities.

And yo, I like Metal Gear Solid. =P Don't hate bro! Lol

I doubt it. Martian Manhunter can do everything Plastic Man can do (elasticity and shape shift), and much more.


I agree with whoever said the comic cover may just be an indication of who's appearing in the comic, but not necessarily on the roster. I still think Nightwing will be donning the Robin costume in the story mode pre-futuristic Metropolis.

Tower of Babel was an extremely badly written story though. Almost as bad as Identity Crisis. The only things that made sense were Plastic Man and Manhunters weaknesses. The rest were pants-on-head retarded. I mean shit, 2 months prior to that story they had Kyle go blind for a whole issue to deal with shit and then suddenly him being blind is the end of the world.

We're talking about a world where there is a woman who has powers gifted to her by Hermes, Hestia, Demeter, and Athena (Among many other powerful characters)- And you think virtual reality bullets are retarded? I actually really enjoyed Tower of Babel. The idea that Batman had come up with a list detailing every single weakness each member of the JLA makes complete sense to me, because he's ALWAYS prepared. This is the Dark Knight we're talking about. Like the honeybadger, bro just does not give a ****!

Netherrealm has already stated that they are going to explain how characters like Batman are even able to take on these power characters, so I wouldn't just go out and dismiss Batman entirely. The point of my disappointment, is that they made Batman look completely helpless in this statue. I really wish they would have just made it more neutral- Unlike Sub vs Scorpion, there's 50+ years of history behind these characters, and some folks (Like myself) happen to care quite a bit about some of them. DK for lyfe.
