I've played against characters that had had full-screen projectile infinites, even characters that had absurd infinites that were unbreakable and child's play to set up. You will have to dig deep into this game (with a prayer or two) to find ANYTHING that will compare to the past bullcrap in MK games I've played through.

You guys have it lucky in MK:9, and the fact that you act like spoiled children sickens me.

and this is y MKvsDC no longer has tournaments held. Even the older games from back in the 16-bit generation were patched and put on the new consoles, sure there's still a few 100% combo's but there not all that easy to pull off. Anything that grants u an automatic victory without having to put out any effort once you achieve it is seriously broken.

i wouldn't tolerate this glitch in a casual fight, let alone a tourney. If your just trolling people online it doesnt really matter that much. But if im looking for a good fight and anyone pulls that glitch off im leaving the match. Might as well anyways since it wouldn't be possible to win or comeback at that point anyways.

Maaannn, but since one of his best tools have been restricted it would be nice to give him some buffs to compensate.
it would be great that instead becoming invincible on the second round, he gets an ability to take only 1/2 dmg starting on the first round, isnt that fair enough? he needz it IMO

The reasoning is if any human competitor can pull it off with a controller and play a vanilla(un-modded) version of the game it's cool and shouldn't be banned.

If you agree with it is a different story, but remember that the old MK tournament scene was filled with that kind of brokeness. Hell I can easily recall Reo claiming Noob Saibot (kara-jabbin) was broken and proved it at a major using a character with no special moves (Noob Saibot). You see, you think you're arguing with a troll. You're just arguing with someone who loved the old school tournament mind set of MK and still lives it.

yeah, but u can still make a comeback second round, honestly the fact that cyrax has this glitch is the worst of them all, not only does he have his resets but, can also do the glitch as well. And we can't just ban all these characters either. i'd like for the resets to be banned, i really would. But it would be too hard to in force. Say with jax, saying u can only do the ground pound reset x number of times would be kind of hard to enforce and easy to forget. But banning this glitch is very easy to enforce. And no character is worse off or loses any of the effectiveness of their playstyle. for not being able to use it unlike their resets. In which case they're resets should just be patched, which isn't gonna happen for a good while because of money and the fact that its all going into Injustice.

MvC2 was a freakshow of glitchy buggy fuckness and it had a decade worth of life. A DECADE.
UMK3 very similar story, it's a worldwide success with a global tournament history. That's also incredibly successful.

I followed the tournament scene in general since the release of SF4 and thats how I ended here. And trust me, read back a few years just before MK9 and read tournament threads. The MK mentality in general has changed to favor fairness over calculated brokenness. If I agree or not is not even important.

But there are still people that loved and abused it. You can't turn a blind eye to that part of MK history. Especially considering that one if not the most successful player of MK9 comes from that timeline.

So what can you truly do at the end of the day? Not much. It's gonna be the TOs call and we're gonna respect it. But claiming it is stupid and worthless to consider the legality of this moves is very close to saying that MK history was stupid and worthless for allowing similar moves to be tournament legal and that can be seen as an insult from people of that era that supports this community even if they don't actively play at tournaments anymore.

I love the old Mk games. But the reason the tournament scene for those game's sucked was because of the exact crap that we are discussing now. Wether you like glitches, infinites, resets etc. The point is that they are bad for the scene. REO, you can play to win all you want.man. if it isn't in the rules then go for it. But if you want to enjoy the offline scene this game had then doing this kind of crap is going to ruin the games image come Mk10. Not to mention a lot of current players will pass on it next time.

Jax, smoke and cyrax is not a glitch , those are unblockable otgs that start another combo, those are normal on all mks, gotta play umk3 and you will see what we are talking about, lol cyrax bombs will get you off the ground even before waking up, be thanksfull cyrax bombs dont work at full potential on this game, i feel also like Playing a CR_cyrax, those bombs could do magic back in mk3 =(.geeezz reo is right this community if full of kiddos who want everything banned, and moost of these guys who want everything ban dont even support the community attending tournaments
