^Top 4 covers thrash. I hate subgenres but for the sake of keeping it real, Pantera can't make the list. Even if they are one of the baddest bands of motherfuckers around.
^Ok then my top 4 thrash would be Kreator - Dark angel - Early sepultura and sodom^Top 4 covers thrash. I hate subgenres but for the sake of keeping it real, Pantera can't make the list. Even if they are one of the baddest bands of motherfuckers around.
I laughed.*Bold statement warning*

It's just impossible for me to separate it. I mean, Hetfield's lame too these days, well...Metallica in general; let's be real here. But they don't go out of their way to make themselves look like rambling idiots. Extremely whiny money grubbing bastards? Oh yes, but we all know that's what Metallica has become anyways. Metallica are just soulless musicians these days capitalizing on their former actual success. Metallica died with Cliff and I think they all accepted that, the fans certainly did.You know, I agree to an extent but I have a hard time equating his personal life at present with his music of the past. Rust In Peace hasn't left the disc rotation in my car for over a year, regardless of how dickish Mustaine's become.
Mustaine and Hetfield are now both soccermoms. Start drinking again. Raise Cliff Burton from the dead or clone Cliff by extracting DNA from Kirk's mustache and we could have another Metallica on our hands.
Never understood why anthrax was in the "big 4". replace with pantera imo.
I think the main problem with St Anger is that it sounded like it was recorded in the cheapest studio they could find, however I'm sure they payed way too much for it to sound that bad.Metallica > Slayer > Megadeth > Anthrax.
I listen to all of Metallica's albums, except most of Reload and half of St. Anger. I'm a rare breed who actually thinks Reload is of lesser quality than St. Anger. Fixxxer's pretty much the only song I listen to regularly off of Reload.
Kill'Em All = 9/10
Ride The Lightning = 9/10
Master of Puppets = 10/10
...And Justice For All = 6/10
Black Album = 9/10
Load = 8/10
Reload = 4/10
St. Anger = 6/10
Death Magnetic = 8/10
Yeah, I definitely see that as a negative. But it kinda grew on me as a style, Some Kind of Monster had a pretty kickass beat going and Sweet Amber has a sweet guitar near the end. Some of the tracks went on a little longer than needed as well.I think the main problem with St Anger is that it sounded like it was recorded in the cheapest studio they could find, however I'm sure they payed way too much for it to sound that bad.
yea the snare is..........ping ping instead of snap snap. I agree, but they played that record live for a DVD or something for when it came out and it sounded a 100 times better. It wont go down as the best 'Tallica album but it was more............therapy for some human beings going through some rough shit.I think the main problem with St Anger is that it sounded like it was recorded in the cheapest studio they could find, however I'm sure they payed way too much for it to sound that bad.
You, sir, for saying trivium, are my new favorite poster. I would like to extend to you a cyber-high five.Out of the big 4, I think metallica earns my vote, megadeth right behing. Metallica really introduced me to metal so naturally I owe my musical tastes nowadays.
But trivium, tool, SOAD, and pantera are better. Soooo much better
