MLG Asks, "Is CD Jr the Best Mortal Kombat Player in the World?"

Yes. Obviously. How could anyone not see it this way. There is an argument for REO, but no argument for any other player besides CD Jr.

i know im going to get shat on for this, but this is the only scene in the fgc to only focus on certain players and call them the best without seeing other talent out there. quick to judge cd as the best, but cmon. at least in ae, marvel, kof, scv, all players are good and always diff people placing in top( example last year, daigo, sf4s best, perfected, beaten by poongko at his first evo, and prob wont be able to make it again, and korusyo, marvel talent hidden to americans, and came and raped all at final round, and i heard because the american scene players got too salty ( except pr rog), so korusyo wont be coming again, just said we too free lol, but thats marvel). i remember this scene on the original tym and it spoke of best in greece, pakistan, puerto rico, chile, etc. all amzing players who want to come and shit on the american scene but have no time or fare to.. i beleive hes good, but there is always someone hidden whos better, undiscovered. cd is mks best now, ill admit, im a fan, he is too good, hope to meet him at ceo, but would not declare him the best, just wont. and no im not hating.

the best in U.S.A? Yes
but the best in the world? I think its unfair to say that, since he hasn't played against people outside the U.S.
Even if he wins EVO, there will be awesome players that couldn't attend.
An example of that is the KOF scene, people from Mexico are the real beasts, but they just can't afford the costs of traveling to the U.S. just to compete for a $500 price
(wich by far doesn't compensate the costs of being there).

He still have to play against the europeans, but, in US or even in the american continent, i do think he is, not by far though.

No one can make that call as he hasn't competed against the rest of the World yet...
America is always first to say they are the best in the world when they have only beaten their fellow countrymen. Take the World Series as example... What other Country competes in the event to justify it being the World Series???????????

By most of the people's opinion here, he will never be the best in the world until he defeats someone from every country in the world, that's pathetic. In my opinion, if he defeats foxy at Evo, he will be the best in the world period.

No one is unbeatable, and because you guys have literally no proof against the rest of the world this poll is worthless.

Best Player in US probably without a doubt, no solid evidence to suggest he is best in the world. (but he might possible be)

Well he is definitely the best as far as people that actually go to tournaments. I'm sure there is some nerd out there that doesn't feel the need to prove himself that might be able to beat him....oh he's out there...he's somewhere practicing dumb combos as we speak with super tech.

What makes the "World" worthy? Who have you beat? No disrespect but if you think hes not your high.. "World" get your money up and come find out thats the way i see it. If 20 grand wasnt enough for you to come over here and see if you could hang then you dont think your the best. You cant use something like he hasnt played anyone not from US because this is where the tournys are and hes been at every one. Again no disrespect just my .02 #Kappa? :coffee:

Until someone knocks him off the throne, then yes, he is. Placing 1st in not 1, but 2 (consecutive) MLG tournaments cannot be an easy feet. Props to all the other top players repping the game... Reo, Pig, Curbo, CD, Maxter, M2Dave, Brady, etc.. You guys are incredible!

A world tournament is truly the only way to determine this. While he may be top
Dog on the chart, the chart does not reach out far enough. There may be some little kid on a island like Trinidad or in a village in Germany that is an unknown beast. So until MLG makes an environment for world competition, then I will say •phenomenal player yes, the best ??????" only time will tell, let the future happen
