IMO Kung lao is still Bs. The problem is that OG Lao players don't want to adjust and forget about 2,4 low hat. Very little has changed for Lao apart from that. His spin was always punishable and his overhead got buffed so I think he's still very good. You just need to think (a bit) now.

How is he BS? He's a very solid characters with a ton of tools but he has problems vs low hit-box characters and those who punish hard....he's no different to Sektor as I stated earlier. They both have many tools to contend but they have a weakness or two. Is Sektor BS?

Let's face it nobody cryed about other chars when he was around. A true champion he was. How I used to fall asleep with my joypad inputing the 24 low hat string harnessing my skills for the next day. Good times.

Lol thats so not true. 24 low hat is not gonna make you win against those characters. and so what the overhead is buffed? you still need to hit them before anything can start both 1 and 2 will whiff. his only low attack starter is b3 which needs to be done at point blank range so thats never gonna win against pokes, you get full punished for a bad attempt.

BTW, pressure ends after blocked cartwheel? oh damn cartwheel is such a bad move, you attempted a full combo and lost pressure....? who are you kidding man, that bitch is right in your face and has safe armor and a dive kick that kills pokes with full combo into reset. no offense but lao is good as he is, if only 1 or 2 would actually connect so he could actually do some shit, cuz as of right now it doesn't matter wtf you do even after a +10 d3 you can't start shit. or either make the low hat -7 again.

Also there is no way kl is anywhere as ridiculous as sonya and cage. good luck with the mobility when you dive kick right into a nutpunch.

She sure is. In my opinion, she's the #1 charcater. High/low mixups, Cartwheel, armor, divekick, 6 frame d+1, 7 frame standing 1, 7 frame uppercut, >40% midscreen combos, recovering after her projectiles like nothing happened... man, it's ridiculuos.
I think she was supposed to be the games endboss. The only tool she's missing is an instant kill button.

Freddy has EX teleport and EX sweet dreams. EX teleport is similar to Smoke's EX teleport but with longer recovery frames. EX sweet dreams is only useful when you are cornered. EX teleport is Freddy's best escape option, but the Cage player can bait it and make you block more f+3s. I think Freddy's EX teleport has almost twice as many recovery frames as Smoke's.

I tried noob for a while because I saw that he is +10 after blocked upknees, seemed good in theory, but in practicality, it didn't mean shit against a really skilled player.

When skarlet got nerfed, she got screwed worse than anyone. Thats why you hardly see anyone using her especially at high level. A we know no one cares about baraka after his nerfing.

This game has four "scrubby" characters. They are Kabal, Sonya, Johnny Cage, and Kenshi. If a patch ever comes out, (which I doubt at this point in the game) they should be addressed above all other characters. No more random nerfs like taking away Jade's u+3 and Kano's knives. Target the best characters, not the rest with nerfs.

At least with Kabal, people can't just pick him up as a side character on the fly, and then run through match ups easily like you can with some of the other top tiers.
