Killer Instinct Gold at Winter Brawl???

Yes, I'm thinking it might be a good idea. I can bring the stuff if you guys can bring the ruckus. :) Who would be interested in a KIGold Tourney run just like the KI Tourney? Obviously Hanzo and RZP won't be there, but I'd imagine CD plays it and a handful of others.

If this is interesting to anyone, post in this thread, ....for now I'll hope for some casuals and if 7 more people besides myself post their interest, we'll do a Tournament for $5 entry. Street Fighter players already have a competitive-edge due to the fact that it's 6 button layout plays just like a more complex SF game, specials, supers and all.


Only problem is, unless someone can get KI2 running on Mame, stick players will not be happy, unless you can ALSO play on an N64 controller. Personally I will have a problem playing it on Mame unless I can quickly adjust to a stick, cuz N64 controller is the only way I have ever played.

Input? Feedback? Criticism? Help?? Hook us up!!!

My input is that any KI game that there's a tournament for, I am putting my money on Crazy Dominican.

As far as MK games and tournaments at Winter Brawl... let's do MKDA, MKD, MKDC as well as the given MK2 and UMK3. Whether it.has to be done in the hotal room or not...we should do them all. MK4?

LOL CD is a freak of nature. he could probably beat any of us at anything, from MK & KI to knitting to cooking.

anywho, KI2/G is garbage, especially Gold. KI isnt even the greatest game, but its worlds better than the sequels. Hell even the SNES version too. :)

MK2 got shit on last time at NEC. That shouldnt ever happen. Only do MKD and MKA if there is enough people. if not, take it to your rooms. As a matter of fact, just plan on MKD & MKA in the rooms so there is plenty of room and time for UMK3, MK2 and MKvDC.

MK2 got shit on at NEC cause of how everything was set up on the first day, but again not bitching about how everything went down it was very hecktic and crazy. this is why im pushing for them to set up MK2 and KI first thing then do umk3 set ups with MKT.

All 3D game tournaments should maybe be held on Saturday. Think about it... between all casuals going on and tournament matches... this may be the best way to keep organized.

And Dan, if possible I may need your help with the camcorder to record matches.

is my job there is this guy who is 2 go on vacation and he has yet to make his mind about when is he taking his vacation mid-feb or late-fed if he goes mid-feb then i ll be going to wb but if he goes late-feb then i cann't go because will have nobody to work on the weekend.

Guys, MK2 didn't get crapped on... what you don't know is that we had UMK3 set up early and were working on MK2 for over 2 hours of setup because of video issues with the projector and then we didn't have a PS3 with MK2 on it until we realized that Dan's PS3 had it. If not for those problems, MK2 would have enjoyed an extra 2 hours of casuals before the tournament. This will not happen again though... I have a detailed plan already and MK2 should see a minimum of 3 hours of casuals before the MK2 tournament starts.

if i go i would like to play some series to 10 or 5 against you guys. last time we did not play any series not even in the tourney ( best of 3 is not a series to me). we could setup more than one tv and have 4 or 6 people playing series at the same time.

i think the whole point of going to this events is to play competitively and there is not better way to do that than playing series.

we didn't have any time to hold a series at WCW3. SHIT, MKDC tourny was spose to start @1130... we couldnt even get in the ballroom until 1145. When we finally found everyone, it was almost 1. UMK3 was to start by 2, but cuz of mkdc running late, it didn't start until 4.. We didn't hav time for series until the late night stream. I dont think anyone cared @ that point. it was just play time.

with the exception of the $$ matches.
