If you guys knew the character in depth you'd shit your pants, theres a hell of a lot more options going for her too, some matchup specific ones are really game changing, such as Kitana Vs Sonya.

Not much point in me talking about it though, may aswell wait for the M2Dave & REO stamp to make it official lolol

Sonya being top 3 is something some of us have been saying for months.

To be honest, it's really stupid that people knock Foxy for the way he expresses himself; I know for a fact both Foxy and Glue know a lot about this game and Foxy will walk through freddy's and Kenshi's with cage and Sonya, absolutely walk through the vast majority of them.

For real. I see so few Freddys, the only style I'm used to seeing is Dave Fu.

Sonya's definitely at least Top 5. Best rushdown in the game, most diverse Stance tactics, great D4, Powder & MS resets...Freddy from full-screen is daunting at times to reach, but like every other character learns about blondie, once Sonya gets her hands on you, good luck getting away. Call her Baby Dee from Next Friday, because that bitch is crazy <3.

m2dave, if his Spikes have ass recovery, would she be able to Arc Kick on reaction, or will he have time to defend?

And why is it that other than Sonic Fox, I almost NEVER see Sonya players utilize the Air Throw?

Jesus I guess I'm going to have to start using Sheeva as more than a screw around character to get any respect winning a match nowadays. All my regulars are just too overpowered according to important people telling me so.

KingHippo, I would rather use a great rushdown character who has some difficulties approaching than a character whose rushdown is mediocre but can approach easier. The latter characters usually lose to Freddy, Kenshi, and Kabal because they are unable to generate enough offense.

A F0xy Grampa, true. Even though you were wrong in the past about other issues, you were definitely right about Sonya.

OneBoxyRobot, I never said spikes had "ass recovery". I believe they are -15 on block just like Reptile's elbow dash. Arc kick is too slow anyway. However, some special moves like Cage's shadow kick and Raiden's superman can punish the mid spike half a screen away.

@everyone posting videos of Chef's Freddy, that is my Freddy from last year's Season's Beatings. LOL. Chef has some catching up to do.

Why aren't you using Sonya as an ALT. Shes the PERFECT alt for Freddy. I remember reading and you saying that Freddys bad MUs are Mileena, Smoke, Raiden and Kung Lao. Sonya beats all of them and goes Even with Smoke.

Sounds about right.
I still don't get why Freddy never caught fire for all his tools.
Another one like Raiden; great character, barely touched. Strange...

Why they fixed Sonya's EX cartwheel armor is beyond me. And why rings have remained so fast on recovery is beyond me as well.

Sonya is absurd, and while I had already felt that she was extremely good, it took playing Foxy to give me a complete grasp on how dumb of a character she is. This is the best Sonya has been in an MK game since MK1.

Quite honestly, I think it's because she's named after Boon's sister. >.>

LOL You forgot about MK3 Sonya too. The 3D Sonya games were not good.

MK1 Sonya is so ridiculous, I played MKAK and online players were abusing her tricks LOL

I agree this MK9 Sonya is really the best, also best looking since MK3 Kerry Hoskins Sonya too <3

Yea I agree. I had thought that Sonya vs a character like sindel was in sindel favor but when sonyas armor is used right she is too powerful. Everything Dave listed.

I fucking hate the armor in this game. Should have only been on jade and X-rays. Or atleast give it to every character, and one move not multiple ones like how Sonya and jax have it.
