Has NRS silenced the Mortal Kombat 1 critics?

However, my polemic opinion is that the people who no longer play Mortal Kombat 1 have absolutely nothing interesting or innovative to say about the game.

This 100%... the game has been out a while now... people that like it play it and people that don't... don't.. so they know nothing about it. In fact the very things they often hate is exactly why the game is popular with those that DO like it.

This thread and others like it, in older NRS games and even in other games (see tekken or SF6) boils down to "yeah vs yeah narr". There IS no conversation as both sides are talking about a preference that is ALREADY made. No amount of conversation is going to convince someone that hates MK1 and Kameos to suddenly go "well I never knew that, actually they rock!"... and visa versa.

At some point the haters need to just fuck off and let the people that enjoy the game enjoy it. I LIKE liking things. You've been repeating the same points for over a year and how terrible the game is, despite it being super popular, selling gang busters (not just launch over the games life) and being one of the most played games on the entire ps5 beating all other fighters... my point is sure.. hate it.. but the things you hate about it, is WHY most people like it.

This entire thread is like my 6 year old nephew saying he hates his sisters bunny rabbit as it is pink... but she loves it as it is pink. No detailed description of pink and all the various ways light refracts of matter from either side will change that he just don't link pink rabbits.

Move on... come back for mk1, if you want, You don't even play MK1, so you really do not even know what you are talking about anymore. The "scene" has moved on without you... let us enjoy the things we enjoy.

If people criticizing something you like somehow doesn't "let you enjoy it" then you've got way deeper issues with that thing. I can't even imaging going into a thread with (lets face it) mild and often constructive criticism and whining "Guys! LET ME ENJOY THIS! STOP TALKING BAD ABOUT IT! YOU'RE GOING TO MAKE ME CRY! Like holy fuck. Are you sure you actually enjoy it? Cuz when I enjoy things I'm not so fragile about them that criticism of them somehow ruins my experience of that thing to the point I need to write about how people should stop talking about it.

People are allowed to like MK1. I haven't seen a single person say "No one should like this game"...and if they did, they're a moron. People are allowed to like any MK or any game. Liking something is also separate from the quality of something. Some people like objectively badly made things, some people dislike objectively well made things (which is not a statement about MK1's categorization). Preference & tastes are a thing. Not being able to countenance the existence of people voicing a negative opinion about something because it disagrees with your support of [thing] is some parasocial shit. Get the fuck over it and get the fuck over yourself. This shit isn't your identity and you don't need to treat criticism of it as some existential fucking crisis.

One thing NRS does need their ass kicked is the server thing. They know they have a lively scene in Africa & parts of the Middle East, give them the love they deserve & fix the server issue

IDK why this is such an issue right now with multiple games when it wasn’t near this bad with previous ones & it ain’t just a NRS issue

Our idiot politicians are more focused on stealing money rather than upgrade tech for ppl benefits, if something doesn't benfits them, they won't do it.

Here is something i was able to experience.
The internet available to the public it's like a few generations ago and it sucks, even if i pay 30 dolars a month, i will still get shit internet, but if i manage to pay 130 dolars a month worth of internet, i will be able to play well against ppl in UK with 5 fucking bars, as well as playing well with ppl in US and brasil with a ping below 100ms.
I know this because there was a time in MK11 where the public cable lane was down, and they borrowed the elitist cable that only runs into presidency and politicians for an entire month and plug it on the public lane.

On that time, i played europe, brasil and US, even found GGA Jeremiah online, and in all these matches outside of Jeremiah where our ping went to 200ms were all very stable on the 80ms to 120ms, and i was on a wifi service, imagine the guys who had all the fiber back then how well they were doing with much stable internet?

They think they're fine where they are, so we all just suffer the consequence of no being born skippy, a lot as changed since then and i think the netcode for fighting games has also changed technology to something more hybrid between delayed based and ggpo according to what immortal was talking, and i'm yet to see a good response in this.

But that's pretty much it.

Anyway, i managed to rent on a place yesterday where i will able to use fiber for the next 6 months, i will be moving my things this week, so expect me to be able to play online in some capacity depending on how much on the finnances i can afford, my monthly wage for internet for now it's around 50$ a month, i haven't checked how much speed that it's going to provide for me yet, but we'll see.

I've only ever commented on something Tom said when either:

A) He was lying about something.

B) I disagreed with something he said.

Never did I make a thread about him, or mention him in a podcast, or talk about him in a status update without tagging him, you know, all stuff he's done to me.

The point is, the manner in which you conducted A and B and the frequecy of it, was what promoted brady to talk about and call you out. Not the other way around.

I don't have a need to white knight. I call things as I see them. When I don't like something, I'll say so, and when I like something, I'm not afraid to like it just because some other people don't.

My opinons on MKX and MK1 are night and day, and that's fine. Both are made by the same company, but that makes no difference.

What I have no time for is toxicity. If you don't like something, then be contructive about how to improve it. Support your competitive scene and advocate for change, or just admit the game just isn't for you. Constantly spamming "X sucks/is the worst every/I hate XYZ and everyone should agree with me" doesn't accomplish anything productive.

Idk man, you just seem to have an excuse on deck for pretty much every single misshap on NRS part, and giving them a ton of benefit of doubt( if i said tha expression well) in situations.

No, we're somehow making you less able to 'like the game'. You said so yourself. Don't like it, don't read it? Pretty easy, man. Like yeah I get maybe it's pissing in your Cheerios that the most discussion MK1 gets tends to be why people don't like it but it is what it is. Spend less time reading and more time playing if you love it so much. I don't spend time seething in threads criticizing the most recent Dragon Ball episode and telling people to stop with their criticisms...I just watch Dragon Ball.

That seems like a REAL easy solution to your problem of being "bored"...unless MK1 doesn't keep you from being bored? Dunno what to tell you then. Play MK1 or cry more. Your choice. So far you've chosen 'cry more'. Maybe try something different? I'm playing CotW...maybe give it a try and you'll play it enough so you won't be so obsessed with people not liking [product]? Just a suggestion.
