Apparently NOW for some reason you won’t be able to download the beta on the PS5 until Friday if you preordered digitally. No idea why. Up until today WB Game Support has been saying that today by 11 am EST you’ll be able to download it. Now they’ve all of sudden lied and now we’ll have to sit through the download times Friday when we could be playing. And WB Games Support is the only place actually giving out this info. NRS is as horrible as ever with their communication, smh

Smh. Guess every who preordered digitally on PS5 are gonna be sitting around with our thumbs in our arse while the game takes years to download because everyone will be downloading at the same time. While everyone else will actually be playing beta. The reason this is so frustrating is because up until today, they’ve been saying all along that today is when you’d be able to pre-download the beta. Now it’s today and it’s all of a sudden “lol JK, you can’t download until Friday. Haha sucks for you that you believed us, what an idiot :p“

When I get home later tonight, I'll see if it's available for download on Xbox Series X|S, and what size it is. The Stress Test was only 7 or 8 GB, so not a long download at all.

I actually logged on to Xbox.ca here from work and was able to see it, that I own it, and see the size as well. So I'll install tonight while dinner bakes.

I'm curious now. With it confirmed being there and available on Xbox Series X|S, I wonder if this is some Sony change/issue as opposed to WB Games.

At least it's not a large download, but still very unfortunate.

I'd wager its 100% a Sony thing and not an NRS thing. In some ways honestly this is a bit cleaner than it is on Xbox. PS players won't have to "search" for the client like I did, it'll just be there in their library for download. Only disadvantage is not being able to pre-install of course.
