When i played KI i loved playing jago. I dont remember how they called it but there was some thing where u could do a button into linker into button to make it much harder to break. I should get back into the game was really fun.

Jago is a great character and an excellent learning character as well.

Fulgore is my main, and I also play Sadira and I'm learning Orchid. I also play Arbiter and Riptor to a degree, and I can base-use Jago.

The best part of KI is the fact you can Jive with ANY Character. Hell sometimes against my cousin I pick solely random

Yeah, I have all the stuff on Steam. I actually have the Windows version installed, and I think I bought Orchid but she doesn't show unlocked (just in things I bought in the windows store) and that version of the game doesn't work on my PC for some reason.

@Sutter Pain and I did a couple of Exhibition matches. Takes a min to find each other since direct matching doesn't work, but it works well once you get in.

The lobby was awful in that every time you touch the keyboard it locks onto it as your control method and you are stuck until you get back in. I saw some people streaming running into that as well.

I'm pretty much Hisako all the way. I probably should be playing Saberwulf, and I would like to have a Maya. I think three characters is too ambitious for what I'm going to be able to pull off though, and Hisako has got to be one of the best all around character designs I've ever seen in anything. The look, the movement, the effects all gelling really well into something creepy and beautiful.

A lot of times I play a game just to look at the art, and she is an artistic home run as far as I'm concerned.

And meanwhile this FG scrub who's never played a fighter before mkx being 22 years of age has still only played 2 5 years later with mk11. Desperately craving for new experiences in this genre but honestly starting to think it's more like me falling inlove with MK rather than the genre in general. Tbf tho, it came close with DBFZ if it wasn't for it's 3v3 tag format. Release a 1v1 mode and i'm all over it, dang it! IJ2 looked hype pre-release too, also because i like DC. But that was before not having exp with IJ series, thinking it played just like MK would. I was wrong. And like @Gooberking and @Juxtapose i'm also living alone but having long hardass workdays in construction so FG's with too steep of a learning curve are prolly an instant no-no. But i could be wrong and it might just be those harder ones i fall in love with next

If ya'll want a nice and easy game for a way to pass time, I HIGHLY Recommend: Oxenfree by Night School studio
A Telletale STYLE game where you choose your story... Except the choices actually matter, and once you finish the 4 hours you can instantly play again and try for a different ending.

if you don't like story formatted games I recommend Goat simulator....Just trust me on that

@Gooberking That's apparently an issue with the Steam version specifically, as I understand it. For the Windows 10 version you have, can you describe in more detail what's not working about it? I might be able to help walk you through it.

@Ck AeroVoid Being laid off at the moment has been great for giving me time to start getting through my backlog. Right now I've been focusing on unlocking all the Story endings in Killer Instinct, unlocking skins and endings in Mortal Kombat XL (Xbox One), and I've finally finished the Main Quest and Fighter's Guild in The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind - Game of the Year Edition, something I've been trying to do over two version of the game since 2006!

I plan on picking up Doom (2016) soon, however I'm having a hard time deciding between the PC and Xbox One X version. My PC can play it in Ultra settings, but it's currently full price on Steam. I could always use key reseller sites like G2A, but I'm always concerned with those. The Xbox One version is currently 50% off, but the lighting and texture quality is lesser than the PC version.

I guess this guy is working on a documentary for KI. I think he is the one that did a breakdown video on rollback netcode and why it's important with people like Keits (Most known KI dev, and Divekick).

Have you tried resetting the game via Start Menu>Settings>Apps>Killer Instinct>Advanced Settings ? You won't loose any unlocks or save progress.

Doesn't help. It could have something to do with it not signing in correctly. Just gives an error and I have no clue how to "sign in" when it complains and tells me to do that. It's really not worth it. The store is super jacked up in terms of what it thinks I have and how I find what I "own".

I'm guessing it goes back to me changing my email the account is bound to after MS started tying it to, like everything. I had lots of weird, transient sign in errors on lots of devices even after resigning in.

Normally I wouldn't hesitate to drop $10 on a second copy if there was good reason too, but trying to not spend and there just isn't much of a point especially if it would require finding a way to fix something that isn't broken at all on Steam. I can't imagine wanting to invest in that store for anything. It's so messed up and hard to make sense of. The store is years old at this point, and you would think I wouldn't have searches returning incorrect and varied results across different filtering options that make no sense. I've made my share of those lists, and it's being super weird.

Cool, cool. So you're saying you have two different Microsoft accounts then? Have you ever done a clean install/format of your PC in general?

No. Years and years ago you could make an Xbox account with any random email address you have. I had Yahoo email account from like 2001 and I used it when I got my Xbox 360 - I think.

The email isn't particularly "professional" and MS started connecting a lot more stuff. Now all your Windows systems and devices are connected to it. Calendar events on my phone started showing up on my laptop, and as a developer products like Visual Studio and SSMS get bound to it as well. I ended up making an outlook email account and using it as my primary alias on my account so I could start getting as far away from Yahoo as possible. The outlook account is totally personal and not really any more "professional" but I had a monetary investment tied to Yahoo I didn't want.

So, one MS account but it's tied to more than one sign on. Once I made the change I had laptops and PC's start giving sign on errors and had to sign in a few times before stuff smoothed out. It's an entire account related reality and not scoped down to any specific machine. The game seems confused as how to sign me in now, and I just get an error. I could probably uninstall it and remove everything if it was worth re-downloading 50GB worth of stuff, but I would probably be just better off reclaiming the HD space. Or just put it on another machine just for fun to see what happens.

I see them all the time when people stream, and a couple of you have mentioned our score, but I don't see them. I can't find any setting tied to it. Searching online is lame, because all I find are people complaining about how there is a win/loss record tied to their account. :|

I did find the detailed health so I can see the exact life numbers in the health bars. That's cool I guess. No win loss record though. I'm not sure it's information I should actually know, but it annoys me I can't figure it out.

The option to turn it on and off is indeed in one of the Menus, I just don't remember which one. Next time I log in I'll check and get back to you.

Can you post a screenshot? I have the same issue with ping. I have it enabled but no matter what I do, I can't get it to appear. The only thing I can think of for the win/loss counter is that it's at the very top of the screen, so you might need to adjust the size/placement of your hud for it to fit on your screen.

I think so, you can get the aftermath edition thatll have all the DLC and in my opinion the PC looks better. Only issue you have to wait a few weeks for patchs to reach us but everything else is better.

The patch stuff has been better. Most of the recent patching has been done a few days before character releases, and they have been waiting to patch and release the characters on the same day for PC. So you end up lagging for about a week.

Earlier on there was a lot of PC specific patching and holding patches for a long while. Probably trying to bundle official patches to avoid having to do more releases and dealing with the overhead on all the PC specific bug fixing going on.

I'm guessing as long as Aftermath doesn't introduce a lot of new bugs, we will probably continue to lag about a week. Those small, emergency patches could easily continue to be a problem, something Aftermath could likely cause.

I'm more optimistic about them getting patches out in reasonable amounts of time, thinking their porting pipeline probably isn't getting as bogged down now that they have a lot of the technical problems with the version sorted out.
