Liu Kang question

Hello, i haven't found here any new liu kang combo threads or some fresh thoughts about him.
So there is my question as newbee who's gonna main this character.
Any good combos/main strings on liu? And how to deal with bad match ups?

Yep i only noticed that he's kinda easy to do combos but
I've got a problem with his 123, ninjailla does it all the time to punish or start combo but i cannot
Like yesterday i've been playin againast Jacqui and i've got beaten like 10-0 with 0 chance
She just flies around me and beat me and i cant do a shit
She goes some string i block it 100% and then i cant make 123, maybe timings problem maybe match up
I wanna know about some fresh info like, is f43(u3) is still good when to use it and other info
Cuz i never saw Ninja using dd1 (only to cancel it but i dont get a point about that, cuz my oponnents don't understand what im doing and at that point punish me, when im making dd1)

Jaqui is currently a broken character so it’s okay if you lose to her lol. As for Liu Kang, f43u3 is a great tool but many people challenge it with d1 or d3 so you have to mix up to make them block it. It’s still plus on block. Dd1 is a gimmick that doesn’t do much. His 12 is a high mid string which WHIFFS on some crouch blocking opponents so you better use b1 to keep them blocking, since it’s a fast mid with more active frames. 123 is a fast punish move that can be made a full corner combo in his first variation. Liu Kang basically needs two strings and two grabs. Just stagger them with f4 and keep experimenting: f4, throw; f43 low fireball; f4 nunchaku stance in Dragon’s breath variation; f43 parry if they mash d1

Dd1 cancel isn’t a true cancel string cause it doesn’t stagger unlike MKX Liu. You can use it from time to time but it’s a waste of meter. Db4 cancel in Dragon’s breath is much better cause it got 3 more options: an overhead, a low and a command grab

You can also experiment with which variation fits your play style more.

Personally, I sacrifice a bit of my closeup pressure for mobility. So I use Wu Shi Legend, which gives me a teleport & slightly more damage for the parry/low fireball of Luhan Quan
