I personally don't use f2 often because most Jade players are D2 happy and that's a easy Krushing blow. Can you punish her D2? It seems like the block stun is too heavy

You can't punish D2 because it's too much blockstun & pushback. Even then outside of the d1 & stand jab, we don't have anything that will cover -9. If you catch any of her moves when you block immediately, she's being punished. That includes B2. Just have to watch her special cancels after them, but after you've made her cancel, you've pretty much taken away her mindgame because all of it is risky. She hangs herself. You won't get tagged by D2 if you reading either punishing them or reacting to them. If they get the krushing blow then that's just the reaction time. The way I view krushing blows like d2 is I say "ok" you've used your krushing blow. So now you've lost that if they decide to burn it early.

It's made for setups, but I don't like it at all. Better off playing the other 2. I don't want to say it's "useless" but you give up way too much only to use like or 2 knockdowns & then have to spend a lot of meter just to keep your turn going.

This was the confirm I found. It's the best one I've found so far.

I honestly think shes much better then what they think and some of the guys I play think shes top 10 easy. I can't talk about her other MUs but I really think she beats Cassie in my honest opinion. It's not like a blow out or anything, but I really think she wins.

I am not sure about beating Cassie but as Cassie it feels difficult. Remember per combo as Cassie you doing more damage. In far mid range you can react to any projectiles mids or OH (so rather neutral duck) she has and your 11 frame mid is better at closing space. Also get used to flawless blocking the last kick of the B343 4. Jade will mix it up though and remember to read the shadow kick cancel- typically used to escape corners, although you can OS it somewhat like punishing Scorpion Tp or ex tp- not as easy.

Look for Shark teeth vs Biohazard- few months ago. ? viennality? in the mean time.

For the record when I play jade I dont even bother and just switch to scorpion. More the power to you guys but the matchup seems really hard to me as well.

She loses to characters who have either teleports or moves that are fast in neutral & cover a lot of ground like Sub-Zero's slide, Kabal's nomad dash, or Liu Kang's flying kick. Nightwolf has reflect & shoulder charge in neutral. That's why shoulder charge for Cassie is good against her. I don't think she's top 10, but I do think she's better than what people think. If you feel that way then you could use them as an anti-zoning pick.

You'll only see most people use Jade against characters like Jax or Jacqui because they don't really have ways around zoning outside of Jax's amplified dash grab or Jacqui's dash punch, all of which is baited into a whiff punish. Jax even more so because he has to spend a bar just to go through projectiles, but Jacqui can dash punch anything she does grounded & score a hit, even a krushing blow. That or catch her in the air on the way down. Basically they use her as an anti rushdown character. Kitana Prime as far as I know is the only one who really uses her offline outside of the ones I know here & then some of my friends.

It's all good, I'll just have to see a few different people play the MU and maybe I can figure it out. I might just be playing it too safe or something. Frame data in this game is unlike any other fighter I've played.

I think Scorpion Jade isn’t as much in Scorpion’s favor as people think. It just stops her from zoning but her rush down is good too and is probably better than Scorpion in many ways- although she has to come to him. Cassie can beat Jade up close and mid range, but between zoning and mid range is where Jade would beat her if she keeps away and randomly comes in.

@Vengeance135 I haven't been able to play my homies yet that play her, but I made this video (& I have another one too of the other guy playing Jaded, but I don't think it's a good example but will post it anyway) to help shed light on the matter. He might not be the greatest example either, but this is why I posted:

This guy immediately saw me pick Cassie & picked Jade (I hate that so many people try to counterpick where they're not even anywhere near the level or skill to where it'll help them in a match). The 1st thing he tried to do was run away & shoot projectiles. So what I did was move to mid range then pinned him down to the corner. Even then, you can see when we were at mid range & when I had the lifelead, he had no where to really go or do much except come to me.

He even mixed up his options the a few times then I started fuzzy guarding him & then nothing he really did could work because I'm so used to playing Jades who try these scenarios. He even D2'd me a few times to which I started backing off & then using meaties & safe jumps to bait it out. I'll post more when I get the chance & when I play someone else, but point being is if he would've shadow kicked, 111 punishes even with the gap as she amps it. So you should be hitting 111 regardless of the variation when blocked. If she would've gone low with a projectile or even a high, then unless she's safe (which she's clearly not), then it wasn't going to work. Jade's best strings are 124 & her kicks that lead her into +5 & cancels into glaives. Had he used B1 and b2, he'd had to deal with her buttons moving in & out of range & had he'd camod he'd just shielded himself from Cassie's projectiles, but that doesn't matter because she's right within reach to deal with her regardless of which variation you pick for either character

He rarely used the extended pole poke (sorry it's almost 2am my time i don't remember the inputs lol) to also check your movement, which last i checked isn't punishable at her near max to max range and he didn't even know how to do IA Glaives. His Jade was straight booty lol this man literally did glaives and D2s until he got cornered and realized you actually knew how to play Cassie.

I'm looking forward to you playing a more competent Jade. As it stands for me, the Jades inlay know exactly what their doing and how to handle Cassie.

Also, something I noticed you said... he picked Jade as a counterpick... implying that she is indeed a counter to Cassie.

When I had the dummy in the lab set up to do the pole poke extent ( don't remember the input lol) that move outranged Cassie's B2 unless Cassie was in her face and Jades low poke would easily beat out Cassie's B2 and in some cases even low profile it depending on the range Cassie threw out the B2 which makes zero sense seeing how Cassie's B2 is a mid. But Jade isn't the only character that can use a low poke to adjust their hurt box and low profile her B2. Anyways that's another topic for another time lol also Jades low kick poke is faster then Cassie's B2 which made it understandable as to why I would get poked out. I believe it has a 9 or 10 frame start up while Cassie's B2 has a 12f start up.

I literally just woke up. And Cassie’s b2 is 11 frames. It reaches further than d4. I can get on a little later before I leave tonight. I had played on stream up until like 11 or 12 then I was KO lmao
