Can someone please make a guide on how to beat Jade?

I'm tired of this stupid b**ch beating me in so ways online because she feels Impossible to punish online. She she a bunch of pushback from her combos and her staff reaches far as hell. She's freaking annoying. Let alone NRS decided to give this chick an ability to stop all zoning attacks.

The only time I can consistently beat this chick is by using Kabal because he seems to be only person who can out range this chick. Can someone post a guide on her gaps and who can punish her.

.... they mostly come at night. Mostly.
ahhhh .... kinda .... "get gud" ? :p

other than that advice, Jade's main weakness is more evident when you put her back to the corner .... she has trouble and bad time trying to escape from neutral/footsie pressure on there. ;)

Be patient, keep in mind you have a big room for mistakes due to her baby dmg output and try to avoid the dumb ones like jumping in on her.

People don’t realize the actual best way to beat Jade is to take your time to get in on her in order to take as little dmg as possible. Pretty much every character in this game can wipe a 30% lifelead from her in a touch, so the less you commit to stuff that will get you punished, the less you’ll have to go after her, and her timeout game will start to bite her, giving you more opportunities to punish her.

If you want the easy route, just pick Frost or Shang. She is useless against them.

Keep calm and collected as that's her general gameplan too. Just back her up to the corner slowly but surely, avoiding as much damage as possible and taking advantage of any risks she takes. I strongly suggest that anytime you want to stop moving towards her, just duck for a second or so. Nitro Kick, Wiggle Stick (B2), and regular Glaive are all highs while everything else she has is easily reactable (B1, F2, B3, dash forward grab, air glaive, Edenian Spark, etc.). As mentioned before by kcd, her damage is piss poor so little mistakes here and there are easily beaten out by one good read combo on your part. Avoid lots of jumping as she has multiple great anti-air tools (2, B2, D2, J2, J1, D4, etc.).

As for her close range game, all she really has is grabbing and B3434 staggers. The final kick of B3434 is VERY easily flawless blocked and punished, B343 staggers aren't actually real, B3 staggers aren't actually real, and any string canceled into her amplified glaive doesn't jail so you can simply duck the projectiles and punish. The only "real" pressure she has is grabbing due to its natural 50/50 design.

Other notes:
-Both of her grabs put you at the perfect distance for her to F21 or Nitro Kick you
-Her Air Glaive does a stupid amount of chip, but is unsafe unless enhanced. If you're close enough and she uses an unamplified air glaive, give her the business. If she amplifies it, you have to just accept it unless you have perfect range/timing as well as a fast dashing attack (Liu kick, Jacqui punch, etc.)
-Edenian Spark (low projectile) is super unsafe on block. Any instance where she uses it as a mixup is just a gimmick. Her only overhead strings are B12 and F21, both of which are unsafe no matter which mix she chooses (OH or low). Don't let her get away with it
-Butterfly (staff twirl special) is -13 on block for her. Punish her if she is throwing this out willy nilly

Well I can only give you advice with my main Shang (The OG Boss).
Shang is naturally a Zoner and has many buttons to space control and get her out in range of Shang's options.

She has slower moves but her best buttons are: D4(best in the game), B3434 and guess she can create with the B3 cancels and parry. But she mainly uses Air Glaive and Shadow and punishes with Shadow Kick.
Her overhead F21, B2(high) and Shadow Kick(high) are all very punishable.

With Shang I try to keep her at max F2 range so she has to worry about Ground Explosion, F24/F2 stagger, s3, Corpse Drop(beats her glow).
If she manages to get in close I use D3, D4 into F2 mix, B3xxDB1/B3D4/B3U4(seldomly) to get her out. With certain hit advantages I can throw in my 14f mid B1221/B1 stagger/B1D2 KB.

If she tryst to zone me and use glow I condition Corpse Drop which does 9% meterless and 14% Amped and it beats her purple glow. When she doesn't glow and I have momentum I can Ground Explosion (DB1/DB1F) to catch her jumping or mashing and through the occasional Straight Skull.

Beating jade is all about spacing and controlling where she goes and limiting her options with proper footsie. Don't let her fullscreen or to close up(character dependent)

Hello.

Online? Yes, she is broken, safe, will spam every d4 d2 whatever and you will NEVER get any punish, her nitro kick amplify is a true 50-50 in 200 ping and there is literally NOTHING you can do about it.

Keep advancing and blocking. If you just turtle for a bit, she'll sit there and chip you down, so you want to keep going forward inbetween the projectiles. If your character has good advancing moves, throw those out after blocking a projectile, even if it doesn't get you a hit on her since you just want to try and move in. Jumping over projectiles is good for that too, but be careful of jumping into the up glaive or the uppercut.

When you get close to her, crouch block to bait out the overhead and then stand up when it starts (it takes about half a second to actually hit you) and then you can get a full punish on her. Her D4 also has great range, so be careful of that when she's close - a lot of the time, she'll hit with that and then jump back again to get some range.

Just play some Jade's from here on tym. She is garbage according to them.
LOL yeah for real.

But seriously to the OP, she is ridiculously good. Don’t let the downplayers fool you. And idk the answer to your question. You just have to play very solid against her and be extremely patient.

question, how is the guessing game between her overheads and her edenian spark a gimmick, sure its unsafe, but its still a mix.

Jade really can't hurt you unless you let her. She has no mix and while her pokes (B2, D4 in particular) are great, they are either unsafe or don't lead to any real damage. You can afford to eat the occasional 3% low considering her mid screen combo potential is so low. One decent combo and you'll be putting her at a deficit that is harder for her to make up than for you.

Her zoning game is strong, but like all zoners, patience always wins. Duck regular glaives, only jump if you see a low spark (so you don't jump into an upward glaive or land on an amped ground one), and if you see Jade jumping backwards be ready to block the air glaive (unsafe on block if not amped, great time to make some distance or reach out and say hello with an advancing normal or special).

Up close, what exactly is the threat? Her only low-starter is toe-to-toe distance, and her overhead takes all day. OH to spark is a gimmick, she's unsafe on both and if there is ever any doubt, always block high. If you eat a low spark it's a few percent and very standard oki, if you eat the OH it's her only decent combo (possibly cracking 30%, but most online Jades will just wiggle stick and kick for around 20% odd).

Her wiggle stick is good, but just get used to neutral ducking in that mid-range space and you'll be fine. You can react to the OH on sight and anything else she has can't reach or is super obvious and unsafe (low spark, standing glaive, etc). It's just like fighting an online Scorpion, be patient and let her hang herself by doing something that whiffs or is unsafe.

Better Jades will try to pressure you by ending both hit and blocked strings in an amped ground glaive. On hit this does give Jade decent advantage, you'll need to hold the strike/throw mix. On block it is an illusion. You can easily poke out and punish her for trying to go for a grab or F3 low. I know I use this frequently and too many people let me get away with it.

Her D4 is best in class and annoying, but it's only a poke and she can't get anything from it or even assert her position, the hit stun is negligible. It's a "get away from me" move. Other than that, her other close in tool is the typical Strike/Throw game everyone can play enforced with B3/B343 staggers (not as good as other staggers). Annoying, but not as annoying as something like Lui's pressure game and staggers. If you can deal with that, Jade shouldn't be a threat.

And of course, never jump in on her, her D2 is of course best in the game.

Again, remember how low her damage is (especially if you never let her hit you with the OH). If you can get a life lead, ease up and make her come to you. Jade struggles when she isn't on the defensive. Always block low unless you see the OH, don't be afraid to neutral duck, and you shouldn't have too hard of a time with her.

Go into practice mode and see how negative she is on everything she does.

"She is ridiculously good". This is coming from the same guy that downplays scorpion all the time LOL. Those 18% BnB's must be the reason why Waz is deciding to continue to play her right? Oh wait nevermind, he said he dropped her...

There have been a lot of Jades in tournament play. Waz is a great player but he isn't winning even with Sonya, Geras or whoever is considered OP for the week. Jade is a super solid character.

I dont know whats worse people saying she is garbage or people saying she is ridiculously good but at the very least both groups are being equaly silly. She is neither, she is just alright.

If people would just take a minute to see what she truly has instead of getting frustrated they would realize that there isnt all that much.

Key word in his paragraph is 'online'. Good luck punishing her unless you are 100% on point.
If we are talking 300ms sure but otherwise glaives, shadowkick, spark, butterfly, F41, B12 are punished even online. Poking out of glaive blockstring isnt an issue either. She might be able to get away with a F21 on block if you are a bit late but thats about it.
