Patch

Onilordasmodeus

My GT: UncappedWheel82
What do people want? Sure there are some characters that need adjusting, but it seems like people are saying the GAME is just messed up and needs an overall/overhaul patch.

Am I in the minority saying that the game is good, albeit it needs a few tweaks here and there.

Why are people being so hyperbolic and saying the game is bad?

I think they should wait to patch. Most of you just want your main buffed. If said main isn’t buffed, then the crying will continue.

The patch should focus on hitboxes and krushing blows primarily.

Other than that, I really can’t stand customization. The grind of a fighting game is to get better at the game, not to get skins/gear. They should’ve just went for the micro transaction crap. $20 bones to unlock everything lol.

Not at all, I want my main fixed and top tier nerfed

balance isnt that shitty for this game, u act like its the worst thing ever.
I think your missing the point though. Is balance absolutely horrendous and un playable? No.. it’s pretty bad but I’ve seen worse..

The point is though than in previous games where the game was equally as unbalanced or close to as this game, nrs took the initiative in correcting these mistakes and taking the time and money to put out a balance patch as soon as possible.

Now instead, nrs developers (16 bit) are acting like we don’t know anything and that it’s too soon to make absolutely any judgments on balance and therefore should wait much longer to fix these obvious balance issues in order to save time and money on their end...

the balance issues arent even that severe, arguably one of the worst things is scops teleport followed by some of the damage of the top tier's and certain pokes not being negative enough on block.

i would also mention that erron having a safe turn steal off his big boot is pretty unecesary but people are talking like the game is broke and unplayable.

yes ultimately this stuff should be dealt with, but don't make it out to be worse than it is, we don't want NRS thinking they need to nerf stuff harder than needed.

i have a bigger problem with the game on a more base level tbh, throws are too damn good, poking is too scrubby, not negative enough on block not plus enough on hit etc.

I want the Krypt to remove that fucking stupid ass shrine and replace it with a store where you can buy all the Krypt concept art, music, skins, items and other bollocks by just choosing the item that you want, then paying up.

I want all the ToT items to show in which ToT exactly they are hidden and if it's at brutal, and I want some kind of fucking schedule for all the towers so I know what I can actually get at the moment and when it is up, or just being able to pick a tower of my choosing kinda like the replace tower platform shit with the character towers.

Then I want all the hitbox issues fixed so characters don't miss their combos on half the cast and combos between male and female targets are consistent with each other and females don't require 1 or 2 frame links in order to get damage on them.

Next I want that throws to not throw people out of low profiling moves like d3s, d1s and d2s anymore because that shit is infuriating.

Related to that I want true mids to have the same hitbox as throws have right now when it comes to hitting people during startup and recovery. Pisses me off so much that nothing can whiff punish Erron's f4 on the first couple of frames because he just low profiles literally everything.

And lastly I'm undecided on that because I only play online, but I have huge trouble with the poke system. I feel like it doesn't have enough frame advantage to consistently hit confirm jailing attempts with high attacks. I feel like I'm mixing myself up every time I hit d1 or d3 (d3 to a lesser extent though), as if I try to hit confirm the gap gets too big and they duck me and if I just go for it my poke might've gotten blocked and I eat a 9f mid.
Like I said I dunno if the game is better in that regard offline or if my reactions are just trash, but I find the poking game in MK11 to be either a mash fest or a d1 cancel gamble more often than not.

Oh yeah they should also fix the reintroduced lag in online matches, disconnects not counting as wins in KL and ban all the fucks that have a higher than 5% disconnect rate on losses for the current KL. Those asswipes can go play Kasuals...

I don't care about balance at all right now. All the top tiers are fun to fight against and the low tiers aren't so shit that you can't win with them if you're a talented player.

D'Vorah for KP2 copium
I do believe an initial "fix" patch should have been released by now / should be released before EVO to manage some of the more egregious issues with the game. Most notably: hitboxes, KBs, and some other gameplay system issues that are wildly inconsistent between characters (cancel meter requirements and D'Vorah's back roll being two). Other than that, I do believe the game needs more time to breathe before we start slapping game-changing frame data updates onto patches. Who knows how different this game would look if every character had consistent hitboxes and a suite of KBs to threaten the opponent with every match?

Let's not act like the sky is falling here, though.

I wholeheartedly agree with Oni here. MK11 is an INFINITELY better balanced game on release than its two predecessors. We don't have multi-circle Quan Chi, 60-70%+ 1-bar combo safe 50/50s Raiden, glaive loop Kitana, armored launchers galore, etc. bullshit in this game. We are at a fantastic starting point for a long-living, balanced game with just this release day 1 patch which could NOT be said of MKX or MK9.
