I think SJWs are a huge problem, because all of the women look like NPCs and they were all given needlessly important roles in the story at the expense of more popular male characters who could use a bad ass story moment. I say this as a huge Kitana fan and someone who loves her story in the game.

In B4 before another argument breaks out about how women characters don't count if they don't have their tits half out...another thing I need to give this game credit for regardless of how disappointed I am in the story: there is not one female character in this game who doesn't look fucking phenomenal. Like actual warriors and fighters, and not just eye candy who are welcome to be top tier as long as they jiggle the right way.

And no, I won't be. I will literally never have faith in the writers of this game another day in my life to deliver an anywhere-near-par story experience again. As far as I'm concerned, i hope this is the end of the line, and maybe we get some decent easter eggs or a DLC sendoff like FF14 did, and we never have to go through this again. I want this to be the end.

I've read everything here and I'm shocked that they could do something worse than MKX especially with Kittelsen behind the wheel. Damn, what a fool am I!

Don't haste with your judgment. I think the story gets along very well. Plus - we didn't experience it ourselves face to face, we just read what happened, but we don't know details, and we're not yet emotionally invested

No, I never bought 2011 version as a true reset. It was just escape from Armageddon curse, because it was obvious they put themselves in a trap with whole Back to the Future thing.
This one on another hand will allow them to start in a different direction and from scratch.

Lol, not at all.
Mk9 is a true reset both gameplay and story wise. Theyalmost nailed MK9 and then fucked up in MKX. MK11 fucks up again and here is your reset that is no different from the last. If they make another game, they will give us new character and fuck the story up again AND... make another reset. As long as that retard John Vogel and those writers is on the team, this series is doomed story-wise.
