The only thing that I'm sceptical about is the exclusion of Rain and Noob/the lack of ninjas overall. Sure, a bit of wishful thinking, but there's some points that lead me to this:

- Both were teased in the reveal build, Rain in a menu icon, Noob in the towers mode.

- Noob is so popular that it's honestly just hard to imagine they'd leave him out. I could see him as a strong selling point for the first Kombat Pack though.

- For Rain, there was the backlash about him being fightable but not playable in MKX. No confirmation, but a good reason for them to bring him back to satisfy the fans. Since he was DLC in MK9, it's not too likely that he'd be in a KP.

And, main point:

Overall, there is so little ninja representation. No Ermac/Reptile/Smoke/Noob/Rain. So far there's only Scorpion and Sub, only 2. And that's kinda crazy. MKX had 4, MK9 6 in the base roster. I mean, it's possible, but I'd be surprised. Paula Garcia said something about secret characters. Maybe we actually get someone like Noob as an additional unlock? It's a stretch, but would be a nice nod to the old games.

I care for well designed characters and a good game. I can't believe that some people are concerned about ethnic and sexual orientation of the characters in a videogame. I did not think I would live to see that.
"I want to be represented in this game! A character with this skin color, with that sexual orientation, with this religion..."
Blanka represented my country for many years, and people over here never complained about. It is a fucking VIDEOGAME! I guess this is a 1st World problem...

Rain was introduced in the X scenario but was not used for much (as in UMK3 lol) unless it is to introduce it for a more developed story in the 11. Ermac risk being replace by Shang Tsung and Smoke the friend of Sub-Zero will be replaced by her pupil: Frost. Almost sure for Frost unfortunately... I like Frost but Smoke is
Irreplaceable !!

It's not how NRS thinks. A female character cannot replace a male character.

It's still there. It's just that over there people are more interested in character races/genders/sexual preferences rather than gameplay aspects.

I don't care about Baraka. I wasn't fan of him in the older games and I still don't like him now in MK11, but I'm happy that Baraka fans got back their guy, expecially since they got ripped in MKX.

D'Vorah and Jaqui, on the other hand, are terrible picks plain and simple.

Again: if your favorite was in MKX you have nothing to complain about. Let the others have their turn.

Why did they have to bring back every damn Klassic and newcomers from X ?

I agree 100%. There's aren't many fan favorites that weren't in neither MK9 or MKX, but those should have been in at all cost. Fujin, a character that was asked for by literally everybody and their dog, is the one that comes to mind.

I was only counting those that were originally pallett swaps of Scorpion/Sub Sero, because I noticed that the number of these specifically is lower than in previous games. My thought process came from thinking about how Rain and Noob were teased but aren't in, that's why I started there. Maybe I should have specified male Ninjas for that cause.

If we take the females into account, we have 9 in total for MK9, 6 for MKX and 6 for the current speculated MK11 roster. So we have a lower number than in MK9 and equal to MKX counting male and female, with less male Ninjas than usual.

Tanya and Tremor were later added for MKX, Skarlet and Rain for MK9. Overall, it seems reasonable to hope for more if they don't reduce their ninja quota.
