Here's my opinion on why i'm nearly 100% sure this is real. It's one thing entirely to name game files a certain way so that data miners can be thrown off course intentionally, because you're targeting people who are doing something they shouldn't be doing. Similar to how in certain games there are bugs that break the game if it discovers that you've pirated the game. But the steam achievements page? Everyone can see that, not just data miners and people who follow rumors and leaks closely. There's trolling, and then there's lying. This would border much closer to lying than trolling if they intentionally misnamed trophies that the general public can view. It would be in extremely poor taste, this isn't just Ed's personal twitter we're talking about here. I'd say I'm about 95% sure these are absolutely real.

The idea behind the character called Kollector seem possible to me, NRS always love to do that kind of things like TMNT or Triborg.. 3 sorcerers in 1? Why not.. Kollectors of Souls, Kollector.. meeehhhh.. I hope Ermac will not be a part of that idea.. I wish to see him in MK12 with his own personality.. same thing goes to Quan Chi and Shang Tsung..

That's true. And considering Kano was in the background and is playable I wouldn't be surprised if Johnny is playable too. But I wanna wait until we have solid confirmation or until 'Joh' pops up on the steam page.

I'll edit my post to add him to the list of possibilities like Noob and Rain.

I get your point, but I'm not sure how valid it is.

What was so different about Kenshi in MK9, who was also holding you at max range with his zoning all match long? I mean, Kenshi is still a liked and highly requested character. And he has been a zoner in MK9 and in MKX. And people still want him in MK11. If you asked 100 people, if they would rather see Kenshi or Jacqui in MK11, 99 people would vote for Kenshi. And that one person would be one of those idiots, who listen to Justin Bieber and think that cheese and jam combined are a delicacy.

Deathstroke in Injustice 1 was as obnoxious as Full Auto Jacqui and so was Deadshot in Injustice 2, but I haven't seen these characters get as much overall hate as she gets. If Deathstroke makes an appearance in Injustice 3, I don't think that people will be bitching to the same point they're bitching about Jacqui. The difference between them is that Deathstroke is the definition of a badass with a cool look and a lot of versatility to his set due to his many weapons and gadgets. Jacqui is like... a girl, who modelled her weapons after her dads weapons and that's where it ends already.

If Jacqui is indeed in MK11 she needs a MAJOR overhaul. She needs to be as cool as a Kenshi or a Deathstroke to the majority of players... not just a selected few, who are fine with the way she was in MKX. Just being fine isn't enough in a game, where you have Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Smoke, Mileena, Noob Saibot, Kitana and many others. You need to bring a lot more to the table.

I'm honestly hoping this is a red herring.

Jacqui? Of all the possible characters, we get Jacqui? For the 5 people that like her world wide?

Frost is another odd one. I'd be more willing to give Frost a chance but in reality, she is just a female Sub Zero. There's only so many things you can with ice and pretty sure the Grand Master can handle them.

The lack of Shang worries me. He's obviously a very popular character and getting sidelined twice in a row...it ain't right man

Well as it stands, we got wiggle room for 4 characters if this is all legit. 2 of those are almost certainly Johnny and Kitana, I am pretty sure shao doesn't count against the 25 since he is DLC. So 2 spots after that.

Granted, maybe they won't take the same path this time, but IDK..

You are goddamn right bruh.. Eliminate Smoke, Quan Chi, Shang Tsung, Rain, Noob, Cyborgs, Reptile, Goro, Kintaro, Sindel, Mileena, Fujin, Havik but add Jacqui.... Such a cool idea ... well done..

Also, I don't think Shao Kahn is gonna be a hidden slot I think he is one of the 25. I feel like they moved Geras from the bottom slot and are gonna end up putting Shao Kahn there.

MKX nor Injustice added an extra side slot for the pre-order character they were always part of the base.

The Inj2 troll files weren't clues or hints. They were flat out trolling.

They duplicated Robin's files and renamed one of them to Talon (the guy from Shadow of Mordor).
They duplicated Bane's files and renamed one of them to Shaggy.
There was also Alma and something else.

Now, look at the MKX achievements:

There's like 70 something achievements there with only a few related to a specific character thing. In the MK11 list we already have 30 something achievements coming mostly from "doing 2 fatalities with character X" and it's not even the full roster. Does that actually sound right to you?

This is all trolling.

I hope you are right Braindead, everything goes well until this time. The roster, the arenas, the gameplay, soundtracks, game's visual, i really expected to see a hardcore roster which could be satisfy everyone. but it is not possible with Jacqui, Kollector or Frost on the main roster..

I feel like it'd be a dick move for them to 'troll' with these names. I know for a fact that there are people who want characters like Frost and Jacqui to be in.

If this had nothing to do with NRS and was like the Reddit leaks then okay.

But straight up lying isn't the same as trolling.

I'm fine with whoever's in the game at this point, but I'd get a sour taste in my mouth with NRS as a company if they did something like that and just lied about characters for some type of 'surprise factor'. Whether people don't like a character or not. *shrug*

I'd rather the roster as a whole be 5 spots bigger or something rather than that. A much better surprise that everyone could be happy with.
