Which is something that frustrates me. Game companies will throw millions at people who are bad at their jobs just to get the name on a project (remember Peter Dinklage in Destiny?) and then cry that they need microtransactions and whatever else to offset that absurd cost they misspent while making it. You would hope the voice/sound director will ensure that what they record is up to standard. Not just have them come in, do one take no matter how shit it is, just so they can say XXXX is voicing YYYY!!

If it turns out Sonya is just an NPC with a few lines in story mode then it's probably not a huge deal even if it's not an Oscar winning performance. But if she's a playable character then a certain level of professionalism should be expected.

To run down the list of issues I have:

I don't see NRS suddenly using hip-hop beats for the in-game music. Before anyone points out the trailer, they used a Wiz Khalifa song for MKX and it was still the bland, generic music we usually get for the final game.

Just wanted to point out that the music is meant to feature on the first gameplay trailer and NOT actually in-game, and it's not really "hip-hop" but more like eletronic, dub-stepy, bass-droppy stuff.
The article induces that idea, but that's not what it says on the actual leak, some users have posted links in this thread if you want to check it out.

Tbf, all it'd take for this to be pretty heavily debunked would be for Rousey to just be like 'Sonya Blade? Lol no.' and that'd be the end of that. But until she explicitly denies involvement, it does make the whole thing seem even juicier.

So far, it all seems plausible enough, almost too good to be true. I've been fooled by fake leaks in the past, so I'll remain cautious but optimistic.

This all seems realistic tbh. Most ridiculous is the Ronda Rousey thing but that wouldn't really shock me.

The detail on mundane planning for the event is the most convincing. And though I don't like that cover art, it's good enough quality.

Again, I would throw back Destiny. Had one of the largest budgets in gaming history and they still somehow couldn't pay enough to re-record this line

Plus this is nothing new. MKX's reveal trailer used rap, I know Injustice 2's villains trailer used drum & bass, and so on.

Really hope this isn't true. Having Rousey seems like a terrible waste of money. She isn't anywhere near as popular as she used to be. Most mma fans can't stand her and while I don't like WWE I've heard most of their fans don't really like her either.
