Soul Calibur 6: THE SOUL STILL BURNS!

I’ve mostly seen a couple of Maxi’s and Nightmare’s, otherwise it’s been a mixed bag.
Netcode has been good most of the time, but there’s been a few bad matches.

Also noticed that most of the time if I win first match, people don’t wanna rematch. I rematch as much as I can though.
i think what happen is that i went to search for opponent instead of rematch on Accident because the first guy i played we went back to back lol but then when i play with taki it was only one time

I have no idea about Soul Calibur, so I just try to move and mash atacks. Game definetly looks good and I had fun today. I will give game a shot when it comes out.

Netcode is nothing impressive though. At least on PS4. It's clearly deyaled based. I had good matches, but sometimes input delay feels massive. I am not expecting online being the strongest quality of the game. I hope for better results on PC

Only got to play two games before I had to leave for work. I like what I played the moves are fast and a little more weightless compared to SC2 but it's still fun. I only took one round against a Sigfried player but I like what moves Nightmare has. FUCK I DONT WANT TO WORK!!! This day is probably going to go by so slow too lol.

Groh is a lot of fun. I’m undefeated, 6-0, BUT I have no idea what I’m doing, lmao. Just using what I’ve seen in match videos and my basic fighting game fundamentals. Kinda wish there was SOME type of training mode just to learn the moveset, but it’s okay, I understand it’s a network test.

Really? I haven’t ran into another Groh yet and haven’t seen anyone playing as him. Then again I’m on XB1, maybe it’s different.

He seems pretty good. Buuut that’s not based on anything, lol. I have no clue how to even tell. All I know is that he’s fun and I’m winning

Mini-review:

So, it's been a few hours now since the Beta started, and so far I've absolutely LOVED it!

I can see on the sub-reddit that a lot of people have issues with getting matches.
The best thing is to put all options to "Any" and if you don't get a match within 5 minutes or so, try cancel the search and try again.

I've had a few laggy matches, but nothing unplayable. Otherwise it's been very smooth for me. It depends on both yours and your opponent's connection if it will go smooth or not, so if your opponent has a bad connection, the match will get laggy.

As for the characters, I find Grøh and Geralt to be really fun. I really like Zasalamel and Tira as well.
Ivy feels VERY different, which isn't necessarily bad, I just need to relearn her. She has some cool new moves though. She's always changed from each game though, so that's nothing new.

The two worst opponents I've played against are Mitsurugi and Nightmare. Both hit hard and are pretty fast, however, Nightmare players seem to spam the same few moves, so after noticing their patterns, it gets fairly easy to counter them with Guard Impacts.

Also fought an incredibly aggressive Sophitia player who owned me so hard, and it was the ONLY Sophitia I fought against. I was really taken aback how fast she could take me down the first match. We rematched and I found a few things that could counter her, but in the end she still owned my a-s-s! XD

I am so looking forward to the final release of this game. It's beautiful, it's fun, and it just feels good to play. ♥

I need to relearn the mechanics like Soul parry or whateva and how to do specials in the game.

Sophita is annoying. It’s weird finding gaps in her strings and/or block punishing. Sometimes you go for a block punish but it’s a gap and she isn’t done so she counter hits you while you’re trying to punish. She also has a lot of quick high/low stuff.

Some moves in this game are going to take a lot of time to get used to. Like moves that hit you while you’re crouch blocking but aren’t overheads (at least don’t look like OH’s, I have no idea lol). I’m completely new to SC so there not being a training mode is killing me.
