Same, I'm headed out for the day with a bunch of buddies of mine to take the docks out of his lake house. I'll have a ton of today but all I want to do is stay home and learn this game, lol. You're on Xbox right? Hopefully we run into each other and run some sets. I'll be on tomorrow a bunch hopefully.

I got disconnected from 1 match and it said you get a penalty from disconnecting from a match regardless if it was intentional or not. Not sure what that penalty is though.

Yeah I’m going to Clemson, SC for the Clemson football game with the family (I live in GA). Game is at noon EST but won’t be home until probably 6pm. BUT with family in town doubt I’ll even get to play much when I DO get home.

No. Time to learn, well when the game comes out. Just so you know, he has only 1 true mix up which is death on block also he has gaps bigger then ocean in most strings and start up time on most of his moves is very slow.

As for beta, console version is hmm bad. Input lag is quite bad and online is mediocre. When you play offline the game is really fast paced. Played a lot of PC version (we had an early build at office) and it's like a different game then consoles. I guess just like Tekken 7 - everybody just gonna play on PC.

I tried out Geralt and Taki first...then, because of your posts, I tried out Groh. I proceeded to completely dominate every match I played with him. It's ridiculous how much better I did with Groh than either Geralt or Taki despite spending more time with them.

I never played soul calibur or tekken in my life but downloaded sc6 beta anyway. Picked random character who looked cool ( it happened to be groh ) and won already many matches with him lol. But when I got paired with guy who knew what hes doing ( prob sc player ) I got destroyed xD.

Groh is a new character in the SC series and nobody even the players who have been playing
SC games in the past don't know his strings and moves yet, give it 1-2 weeks when the full game gets released and everyone is gonna block that Groh stuff :p
been playing mitsu only, feels like a honest fighter were you gotta work for your wins unlike siegfried in SC6 lol

I feel like most of my connections have played ok. Sometimes I feel like the fluid nature of the game is hiding some of the issues. Feels more like that the more I get familiar with what should happen.

Or maybe the buffering is extreme. I get some wtf moments with button presses doing weird things or happening a lot later.

IDK, quibbles. I do really like the game. Always did.

Im starting to have this vendetta with Nightmare players. Already got hatemail from one cuz he did not want to rematch so i left to find another game. Next thing i kno, the bitch sends me a lovely message. Neat

I'm awful, and now losing to 0 pointers. I did just get a Nightmare to try and wuss out after round one. Dude just sat there waiting for me to kill him. So instead I spent the time trying moves until he clued in I was more than willing to waste all his time.

He almost won, but I back to back supered him at the last second. I can't believe I didn't get hate mail for that. I did not get a rematch.

I've yet to come across anybody sending mail at all. Almost everybody I've run into seems to want to just test out the game, except the one guy from South America that did nothing but try to run at me constantly pressing buttons lol.

My favorite game so far was the one where my opponent and I backed as far away from each other as we could and just started trying out moves, backing up again if the buttons moved us to close to each other. Felt as close to a practice mode as we can get lol.

So far the only thing I don't like about the game is that the delay makes everything feel plus, on block or hit. I find that if you're on the offensive, you can just keep pressing buttons nonstop unless they do the counter block.

That ivy 66b is life. Last time I played soul calibur was years ago. but I still have a little memory left it's so fun when it comes back. as a nightmare main or ex main seeing his Shaningans again make me smile. Ha more souls.
