There’s a more mix heavy version. There’s reflect opportunities in noticeable places (other than vanish), so it’s easier to escape if you know how. But, it’s also easier to perform and mix from.

Manage to keep it up for 45 secs this time:

And the mix is that any 5M after double saibahit can be 6M:

If they block 6M, Saiba maintains pressure, 5H>vanish and continue. You can actually run the whole block string using 6H after every double saibahit:

Notation is:
LLMMH214M(Vegeta covered), MMH(vanish), 2LH214M, [MMH(vanish), LLMMH214M] [repeat]

Realised I put this in general, but worth archiving here too :)

Nappa / Frieza (optional?) / Vegeta ToD combo:
MM.sparking.M(ZA2)H.214L, LLL.sd.MLH2H.236M.Lvl1, j.LLL(ZA1)2H.236S.Lvl1.(optimal dhc)

Think that’s it but I’m tired, any issues, let me know.

Also, useful against match start 5H spam. You know which android you are... tut tut.

Mix is intentionally 6H happy. Far more legit with other buttons. :)

Pickin up Nappa with Broly and Vegeta
Nice, they’ve definitely got some good synergy. Not exactly what I wanted, but great fun.

Broly assist extends Nappa real easy midscreen which is nice. Corner’s possible too, but timing was tricky.

Couldn’t get anything specific for Broly using Nappa’s assist (besides converting from 236M). But I haven’t done exhaustive labbing.

Vegeta is a perfect choice to back them up. Broly’s lvl1 cancels into Vegeta’s for continuation (corner is way less strict).

It’s one of my loadouts for sure.

@BurdaA Vegeta and Kid’s assists would be the only ones in the game that lock down long enough to let you get saibamen out safely on block, right?
Correct. They actually both work on hit too, as well as block, but kBuu’s requires that the opponent remains grounded.

If Vegeta assist gets the nerf hammer at some point and Buu’s doesn’t, I’m definitely seeing if I can make Kid work.

Yamcha works as well.
Thought I tested Yamcha and couldn’t make it gapless. Maybe my timing was off tho.

I’ve been working on Nappa > KBuu > Vegeta. They’ve actually got pretty nuts synergy.






Don’t know how much is known already (and def not optimised, just messing around really), but this teams actually insane fun. Buu is fucking legit too.

Think I’ve found a corner restand with guaranteed mix using KBuu/saiba. Can anyone help me test the legitimacy of this?


Best part is, if you mistime it ever so slightly, allowing a tech, only delayed getup (or block/guess/react) seems to work. Everything else seems to bluebeat.... not sure if I’m testing wrong tho.

My bad, just realised the question was safely, not with guaranteed continuation. My misunderstanding. Yeah yamcha’ll work, probably goku beam too.
Ah ok, that’s still super good to know though and puts Yamcha at least a tier below any assists that do allow continuation. Fuck I wish I had more time to get into this game lol.

Yeah just tested again and they’re pretty much neutral on block with well placed beam/Yamcha, maybe slightly plus, but with pushback no follow up pressure is guaranteed.

Correct :) happy times. I’d say it’s neutral or thereabouts when gapless.

They nerfed his saiba block pressure anyway so continuation isn’t such a deal breaker for me anymore. Weaker lockdown now but way better mix, and saiba help enforce/convert from the mix.

Oh also, if you really feel like it, you can spend another bar for more unnecessary damage. Dhc into vegeta before Yamcha lvl1.

If you do that, it nearly (97ish) tod’s off jH or 5L starters, but you gotta drop the first 2M

What you want to know m’dude? Kinda wrecked but happy to help... :)

His new meta imo will be how to use saiba to force them to to block iad/non-iad mixup. Meterless is likely doable, but cost is workable.

Morning. The world is sober and grey now.

One thing I forgot to mention. Pretty sure TGohans assist fills the gap between jH and jS2H in the corner. Possibly midscreen now too. Nappa gets good damage or saiba setup if you can land j2H in your combo. A simple example being MMH.sd.MLL.jc.LLL(TGohan).S.2H.236M.Lvl1
