SSB Goku has the most beams out of anybody in the cast and every direction. So that alone makes him unique as the BEAM MASTER! And his base strength is pretty damn solid for basic BnBs, not to mention his discovered 2 Kamehamehas in one combo!
I keep seeing that beams are important. Is it just because they can't be super dashed through?
His assist is for purely for pressure and block strings. And beams CANNOT be super dashed through, so indeed they're very important in this game. Goku Black i would say does do more damage but he only has a grounded beam and a command grab beam. So that's was differentiates SSG Goku from Goku black.
You really only need one really good assist 2 is nice 3 is unnecessary Goku Blues is fine it's nothing special but it will extend block strings Or give you a hard knockdown both of which are good just put him on point and your good.
Tbh, beams are just the best rounded assist (full screen, beats meterless options, decent duration). If you need pure duration nothing beats Vegeta tho, kbuu’s good too. All depends how dependent your synergy is on assist-block-pressure/janky-conversions. I’d like a beam assist but get by without thanks to Vegeta’s evidently low-tier assist :egod:

I feel you. But from a standpoint to draw ppl in who didn't see the match tho, the interest has kinda diminished to even see another F10 between those 2 UNLESS something BIG is on the line. Fuck bragging rights, we all know GO1 has Sonic's number.

I did get a few goodies from the trailer tho dont get me wrong. Bardock's spinning attack is a hard knockdown which is NICE for some ki-blast set up (i can already picture it in my head now). His level one can convert into a lvl 2, the same way Beerus can, so thats neat.

How is Noctis Lucis Caelum for you? I haven't tried him out yet since I've been on the road for 6 bloody days now. My dudes say he's the Goku Black of Tekken lul. His level 3 is airborne and very few characters have that. So thats a plus.
Broly is a bit interesting. He also has a lvl 3 in the air. Im pretty damn sure he has armor. HE HAS TO! His walk speed is the same as Juggernaut from Xmen! His dunk attack is L auto it seems. So i guess u can end that into some nice setups. Not sure if it was a hard knockdown (gotta see the trailer again) and his air down stomp can also be used to get back onto the ground.
Overall, both characters look interesting and of course Uncle JBeezY is gonna lab the shit outta both. And i feel you on the Tekken train man. Ive been doing the same thing messing with Noctis. So ill hop back onto this game when the dlc characters come out
