Noob question. What are my options when my opponent is staggering jabs into low starting strings.
Mash crouching jab?

Cr.jab checks and just blocking the lows, they are all pretty negative and many are steppable to one side or the other - if not both. Additionally a lot of low strings either transition into a high (so you can easily block the low and launch under the high) or the ones that follow into a mid are usually pretty damn negative. Finally, depending on spacing and the string being used, since a lot of low strings start off standing lows, who's range is traditionally weak, if you are decently spaced out you can often sneak a backdash after a blocked jab, and many lows are slow enough that even though the guy staggering the jabs is somewhere from +1 to -1 depending, you can still beat out the low, and whiff punish accordingly. It all depends on the situation and what's being used against you.

Im not any good at dealing with it myself, but those are some options that can work. The more I learn about Tekken the more I'm beginning to understand why people say that movement *is* Tekken.

Devil Jin is just fucking ridiculous. I love him - but holy shit. He has a super compact kit, and every damn thing in that kit does huge damage, from pokes to launchers, has solid to crazy good frame data, tons of in-built mix and trickery so even when he's negative he doesn't necessarily get punished or even lose his turn..

I want a mishima to play because I enjoy - though am bad at - landing multiple ewgf combos and having the stupid powerful hellsweep mix and CD cancels into ws moves.. basically DJin takes his small kit and adds enough flavor with cancels and mix and all that to make it feel larger and not as stale as, say, Shaheen can feel sometimes.

But this character is the best character in the game by a decent margin. Dragunov is arguably his equal, and I can see the reasons, but all said and done, DJin just feels stronger..

There's no point to this post really, just that I think DJin is the only character that I've personally played that *feels* like tier lists matter in this game. Watching him and playing him it's insane just what he can do.

GGs to @JBeezYBabY you're the first Capo player I played with great movement and character knowledge. The games definitely helped me and I'm certain some of my parries surprised you! Haha, we had great rounds but he pulled away, he has definitely helped me understand the MU.

Thanks man! Good shit too! When you did finally parry my low, i was like "WTF!? DID THIS N*GGA REALLY BREAK MY LEG!?" hahha. And i HAAAAATE facing Dragonov, so the knowledge definitely helped me too cuz thats a hard MU VS Eddy. We most def need to play more often. This is my go-to game that i can actually see myself competing in. Appreciate the games man :l:qtl:D:qtr:r

Alot of talk saying Djin is the best character in the game but not easy to use. I kinda wanna pick him up too, but im not really a Mishima player. Wave dashing im not good at doing, but i guess we can learn together if we get some games in ;)

I'm goin' to buy once I can play Noctis, Akuma isn't enough. I need more Final Fantasy in my fighting games.
MAAAAN! Get on that shit! Noctis is easily gonna be the most played character with his insane attacks. Geese right now is very solid, but it takes ALOT of practice to even get decent with him. Noctis already seems like a character thats gonna be easy to use. But we shall see once release. Have they even given a date on Noctis?

Does anyone else find Bob awkward to combo with? Not one individual combo, but just in general.. In a "live" environment I guess. I dunno.

I kinda did, which is kinda why i dropped him. That, and opening ppl up became too predictable with his moves. He has options, he has a hell sweep, he got a crazy wall combo, but i dunno.....something about him just didnt keep me wanting to play this character. Apparently ppl been saying hes worst now than hes ever been.

He's kinda odd for sure. I think he's more of specialists character than he seems like on the surface. He looks simple, but the way he moves and his silly-huge move set and nutso mids makes for more complexity and kinda awkwardness than I expected. I'd love to take him on and probably replace Josie (between leo and Shaheen I just don't play her) with him but I just can't seem to get my feet under me with him.

Also, in sorry but he looks annoying as fuck. If there was a "Slim Bob" costume.or someshit I'd almost guarantee he'd be my primary main.
