Not a deadshot fan by any means but id like to see a change to MB roll before they touch him too much. MB roll to me is an cool mechanic but it seems like it can be baited out or not go far enough depending on your character. It's also kind of wack when you try to MB roll and you see the startup and it just gets stuffed b/c you have to dash to do it.

He was used in 8 matches(9 if you count grand finals as two sets), and 5 different players used him.

This didn't happen on MKX. Maybe 2015 Tanya at CEO came close but Tanya didn't win the tournament. DJT won with Lao/Sub. Deadshot dominated all of top 8 and it was closed out with a mirror lol.

The argument could be made that NONE of this Deadshot stuff is a problem.. and that the problem with this game and ALL nrs games is the MASSIVE CHIP. Imagine what the game would be like if Chip was not an issue, and zoning was all about spacing and opening people up.

Like maybe the design is fine, but once you add the global chip values the designes become broken.
That's not a bad idea.

What if they nuke chip damage overall like they did overhead launchers in MKX?

I could live with that, even if I was 100% Floyd all day. I still have knockdown bullets, iAShot, the Kinshasa and the space it can cover, B12...yeah, that'd be all right.

Honestly I think the stiff mobility in this game is something that his zoning benefits from.

I also think that with the game being basically on big life bar, it can be hard to make a comeback after going through the bullet hell, since the rounds don't reset to full after on is depleted.

Of course it would be much smarter to change DS to fit the game instead of the other way around.

I'm not knowledgeable about DS at all, but I think making his bullets have more recovery frames on whiff would be good. Make it easier to get in on him if they miss, and make the DS think about when we should take his shots because we all know Deadshot wouldn't miss XD

His gaps help him up close because poking will get blown up by the gaps being there. If they took away the gaps in b12u3 he wouldn't be able to stagger. You could basically option select poke out. Either take out the gaps or make one of his 50/50s a mid.

I think trick shot is fine. It has a bit more recovery than straight shot.

Changing the game as a whole could create more problems. The game is fine outside of Deadshot atm IMO.

Edit: The problem with exploiting the gaps in b12u3, is that first of all it starts with a low so you're literally sitting there waiting to backdash out of a unreactable advancing low, while he could be doing whatever else. Plus where does backdashing get you vs Deadshot? The gaps have helped him since day 1.

A possible solution would be to adjust the recovery and meter building of the wrist cannon, but keep the current recovery for trait wrist cannon so that the zoning is enhanced in trait only, similar to Dr. Fate's design.
Agreed. I assumed this was the point from the beginning. Normal shots are ass. Red shots do the dmg, green shots fuckover meter, blue shots give us the current speed the projectiles have.

B1 needs to be a mid.

character is fine, his wrist cannon doesnt need to be nerfed, and i don't know if u've checked but everyones builds crazy meter in this game...

This character was always very dumb before and after the patch imo he never even left top 5. They nerfed his 50/50's so they aren't as broken but he's still a nightmare up close and far away. Deadshot's zoning isn't that much of an issue the most they should do is nerf bf1's recovery some but its his 50/50's that are still really good that is the problem.

I suggest that one thing be done only. In the past, NRS has over-buffed and over-normalized which has lead to some overpowered and worthless characters. The objective is to balance Deadshot as Catwoman and Black Adam were balanced, not ruin him.

I would also reduce Red Hood's EX lunge chip damage in half.

redhood barely does damage as is why nerf his ex lunge? I'm talking about base damage and combo damage not like reset potential etc. Just pure damage.

That's a fair point, the goal should be to avoid an over correction like NRS titles have previously been plagued by. I do still think that part of it would be reducing his up close capability, but doing things in steps to make sure would give a better game in the end rather than over correcting.

Eh, that would be fine, but I question the necessity. It would reduce the power of it as an antizoning tool, but I'm not fully sold on that needing adjusted after the start up nerf.

Deadshot is also straight up a poorly implemented character, what the hell do other zoners do against him? Matter of fact what the hell do you do if your character's mobility is shit? MB roll? lul

Theres lots of problems surrounding this game that contributes to how stupid Deadshot is.
