do your confirms combo? If not yeah he can ex dp through but if your confirms combo he shouldnt be able to.

Yeah they combo. I do them in training all day with the dummy set to guard after first attack and use them in real matches all the time, that is why this particular Ken really caught me off guard lol could the internet connection have been desyncing? I have heard that in games like this (and overwatch) if they aren't in total sync on my screen I could see one thing while the game registers it as something else?

idk man but they say ken dp is the best move ever created that it transcends the rules of the game itself behold the alpha ken himself in all his glory

Hey @ILuvFightGames where are you located and are you down for running some sets?

I got online earlier this week and seem to bounce between Bronze and Super Bronze, and I'd like to play someone around my level where we can give each other criticism, work on it, and maybe help grow both our games.

I'm near Toronto, Canada, but have had really good connections against a guy from France and a guy in mid-South America (going by their flags anyway).

Actually I said Rashid was upper mid pre-patch (8-10) and post patch I said he wasn't top 5 but somewhere between 6-8. I guess I was a horrible downplayer?

I don't know what's been going on in the Capcom community lately but I saw Moke got top 8 at evo and Oil King has been getting top 8's since the game has been out. I've always said that if Moke, Gachikun and John Takeuchi traveled more you'd see more Rashid in top 8...

Rashid is a very, very good character but still not better than Guile and Guile still beats him. There are also 5 characters better than Rashid so still not top 5 in my eyes.

Honestly, I don't know how Punk has him #1 when he loses to Karin and Karin is overall the better character. Even Nash does well against Rashid.

I'm located in south Cali, and my internet is shit. I'm connected through wifi also since I can't use a wired connection, long story, but I'd rather say the truth than to play people and have them rage because of the lag. Also I dont play too much nowadays because of my job schedule so I'm lucky if I get 2 hours in a week. But I appreciate your offer and I'll definetely add you so when I do have more time (after summer rush) I'll see if my connection holds up. I suck but I wanna play everyone here. Just a couple things are getting in the way but that will change in a month or so. Thanks. Also did you play entropic yet?

Didn't know you mained Akuma.. Nice. I originally mained Karin (after an 18mon ordeal to which everyone in this thread was subjected too regarding the choosing of and sticking to, of a main) but when I left the game and came back, as much as I love Karin I just wanted something new and interesting to try and kinda grab me and pull me back in..Akuma does it. Endless ways to play him. Endless shit to do. Fun character and his fireball game is intriguing.

Also @SpineRip Anytime you want games, its easier to @ me here or something. i dont play random matches, so Im almost never in SFV unless I'm afk and just left it open, occasionally practicing, or playing a set with someone. Ie, Im hard to reach in game, lol.

Didn't know you mained Akuma.. Nice. I originally mained Karin (after an 18mon ordeal to which everyone in this thread was subjected too regarding the choosing of and sticking to, of a main) but when I left the game and came back, as much as I love Karin I just wanted something new and interesting to try and kinda grab me and pull me back in..Akuma does it. I kind of found myself just trying everything without any sense of direction. I was just running, jumping, and flipping around, mashing buttons, and getting nowhere fast.

I tried Guile thinking it would add a bit of discipline, and I'm sure he would have if I stuck with him, but I just can't gel with charge characters.

I also love Akuma as a character so I decided instead of learning someone else just to learn discipline and go back to Akuma, it just makes more sense to learn discipline with Akuma.

bro dont waste your time with guile. despite what nrs scrubs say the characters is midtier at best and works too hard against the nature of the game i dont blane you if you never use him

Good to know. I'll let you know, I may be back on shortly, but I have some things to work out in Training so maybe in a few hours or something.

Also, the in-game invitation system is pretty flawed... For the life of me, I don't understand why you have to go to the message log to see invitations. You should get a window that pops-up at anytime, unless you're already in an online match, and they should disregard your Fight Request setting completely.
