I still prefer SF5 to I2. The game is just hella fluid and fun to play and doesn't have dumb shit like interactables. Only reason I'm playing I2 more is because I'm already godlike at SF5, still need to level up in I2 though.

You can do it anyway you like. Usually depends on your character though, some have backdashes that go too far, others have walkspeeds that are too slow.

Yeah I don't wanna be one of those conclusion jumpers before we even know a damn thing about the gameplay but Capcom tends to have a pattern where the bigger and slower the grappler/brawler the more ass they are. But hey, it may have taken some major buffing but Gief is a goddamn beast now so there's always hope.

If they're going by lore I wouldn't be surprised if his Trigger has to do with him going into fits of rage at being teased over his name all the time. He used to turn red and charge at you in Final Fight lol.
