Not gonna lie, he looks pretty damn cool. I don't think his clones will be anywhere near as annoying as it was in mkx tho, in a game with strong zoning and tech roll mechanic his clone would only punish players who try to rush him down, no more of that corner cheese i presume.

I hope Raiden will follow next and look just as hype.

No, the MKX strings aren't a bad thing or lazy. Every returning character in this game retains their core gameplay. Why would Sub be an exception? It's a choice I'm very happy about since there were lots of great things in his MKX versions to rework for some really interesting combinations. And the returning MK9 moves and that Cold Shoulder from Deception look awesome.

CryoMaster Sub-Zero gameplay looks great in general. I've been posting a lot in the I2 Sub-Zero section that he needs to have ice projectiles that deal damage rather than just freeze and I'm glad NRS agreed. The crazy max character distance in Injustice meant Sub needed some good, new tools and I'm glad we're seeing them. I know one or two of these are probably gear moves, but I honestly think the most likely candidates are the Clone Divekick and possibly the Ice Puddle. I think the Slide Clone will be base because he needs it. There's nothing crazy about it especially compared to the kitchen sink characters like Supergirl and Red Hood.

Now let's see what kind of gear and shader options we we'll have!

The Ice Klone is a trait. We don't know for sure for the 2nd one, but everyone is speculating about the MB. So prepare for the deadly corner game. ;)

If my combos from the MKX work, then it's about fucking time everyone will suffer! I only hope that the Ice Klone Slide is a base move. Will need it against the zoners.

He should be the exception because he is a dlc character that we have to pay for post release. It's an asshole move to charge us for a character that is literally recycled (I get it some things will be different) from their previous game. They knew he was going to be dlc, they new they could make a shit load of money off of him, and they knew that they were going to use a lot of the same stuff which is understandable but making us pay for him is a cash grab.

I can't re-watch the video whilst at work, can somebody tell me if SZ can travel freely through his clones or if it's a solid barrier? I'm not sure he even touched them after in the trailer.

I know it would be weird if he couldn't travel through but I've got the idea stuck in my head now.

So....I'm just brainstorming here, but considering NRS basically combined Grandmaster and Cryomancer, I'm wondering if that's what they'll do with Raiden. Thunder God and Displacer together could be super strong in this game. Having said that, who knows what is a gear move and what isn't.

It has tons of skins. They even have got dark skins, like Captain Cold's Black Ice. The Demon shader is just the dark red skin.

Assuming BA doesn't get destroyed, I think the MU should be decent, 5-5 possibly, BA gets to negate the clone all day midscreen but gets destroyed in the corner due to lack of wakeups.
