Elaborating on some MU's

Superman
The more I play against him the more I understand we force him to come in and I think the MU is evenish. Our ground projectile is superior to all his grounded options. Most will take to the air and use laser sweep. If you can force an opponent to do something you are already winning. But the thing about air laser is when he started to rely on it, jump and stay out of mid range and do a float. If you time it right you will see it and can hop forward to punish him with a full combo. If you did not time it right it is ok, just unfly or fly back and reset the situation. The meter gain will be equal or greater for you and you have just caused his main tool to deal with your plasma to be a risk. Up close, you have to leverage your meter advantage to fight his f23 that's what supes does deal with it.

Aquaman
You want to stay within jump distance so that you can plasma and he cannot counter with FTD which means he must jump which is great. Also if you want to go in using jump and float to check his d2 gives you intel, or spend a meter for mb plasma to punish it and make him doubt his d2. His best option at that point is to try to air to air you. You can do a quick float and drop down and d2 to punish his air to air attempts. Also blade form can make things uncomfortable for Aquaman as you can now punish FTD from far away. You can also footsie him pretty hard with F2 and secure knockdowns, dont bother with F23 as it is not safe and it is better to just use the hard knock down.

Really looking forward to playing against more of you all to experience Match ups if anyone is interested. Don't be shy I lose most my sets online anyways as anyone can tell that has played me.

Anyone have any problem match ups? I am having a hard time finding them since I do not play as much as I would like. Curious what road blocks if any you guys are getting into so that I can seek out those match ups.

I played a great dead shot last night. It personally gives me trouble but I think BB might do better than most of the cast there. I'd like to hear your opinion if you formed one yet.

Cyborg, I think he just beats Beetle everywhere on the screen.

THIS can change BB.... A LOT
No slight on those guys, I'm a huge fan, but we've known this since day -3. It's in this thread just buried a few pages back. You're right that it's a huge help though, but it's in the move list in game already anyways.

Anyone know what else b2 stuffs on wakeup? It wrecks Harley tantrum stance every time.
I need to lab it myself... I'm sure it is tricky timing due to some wakeups having invincible/ armored frames..

But if it works on some, then it might be worth it to explore setups that end in trait to be max B2 range... that would be tasty

Like 21 1+3 ?
Yih. I made a vid about it a while ago.
I forget which version (traited or not) leaves him like one step from max B2.

And I didn't have the intel that it would actually stuff wake ups

I attached the post

I don't think anyone else has done anything with these particular stings and knockdowns yet..

I used a normal BnB starter, but ended in a different knockdown. I then used instant air flight, while in trait to cross them up and finished with the 21 1+2 string to keep them close while you still have trait on.
I'm sure that you could change it up based on the range you want your opponent (depending on if you have trait or not) at least for the second knockdown. Not sure how viable it is. Just wanted to see if anyone could take it further.

^^

Thats why I knew :p

A reminder on 'set ups' / enders.... if you've got flight cancel setups/pressure tools, I just started a thread, and welcome more ideas on flight cancel uses.....

Do you think a buff to mandible strike that allows it to be used in the air would make blade mode a lot better?
Yes please!

I think having a single safe special in trait would make him so much better it would probably be unfair...and I still kinda want it. Same with mandible strike better recovery on whiff, too good but a man can dream.

Hey guys.

I was wanting to level up my whiff punish BnB. I did (for the cost of a bar/ still working on meterless). I also used the old 211+3 ender while in trait to get the max range B2 that I was talking about earlier..

I do not remember seeing anyone use F2 into blade stab before, so if they have I am sorry for the repeat.

F2 is a great way to consistently hit blade stab (Shown on Harley Quinn)

The best thing about this particular combo is that there are several different enders you can use (B23 for side switch,111-xx-shield/mandible for dmg, or what is shown in the vid for a "safe" B2 attempt.)

Note that you can do this combo w/o trait, but I found the B3 wonky to hit consistently w/ mace launcher..

Hope this helps!

Great stuff! A tip on hitting it in mace stance is to walk forward a slight step before the b3, it becomes hitbox and timing consistent once your hands get used to the shimmy.

Have we discussed in this thread that jumping off air interactables switches BB back to mace stance? I wanna go try them all in training mode tomorrow but for now I know that's a thing.

This is kinda dope - I had been messing with more Blade Stab stuff in scenarios like punishing Atroc punch walk reliably (D1 Stab) but nothing from F2 - this is probably miles safer than anything else too as it's less easy to anticipate on block too.

TB2 is really strong in generally - I've seen it stuff all sorts at this point! Honestly, trait in general is just super sick for dealing with all sorts - can't get over how powerful TD1 is!

Has anyone found a use for DB1 yet?
w/ no meter, I like to dash up and df1. I land this rather consistently, despite it being blockable. Then, once they start blocking, I mix up with b2 df1.

With meter its a free b3. In mace stance you will want to walk forward before using b3. ( I do it regardless of what trait stance I'm in, just so I get the timing every time ) What you follow up with though, depends on the length combo.

The majority my of my combos have a f2 linker. But I frequently land a db1 after f2. If I'm not crossing up with jump three.

I also us the crossup jump 3 df1 a lot. Sometimes jump3 hits and I get the direction wrong. But it combos all the same into db1.

I worked on it in mace stance last night.

I had to step forward, then hold back, THEN hit the button. Lol, sometimes my hitbox controller gives me inputs way faster than the game can read them...

But hopefully your advice helps others too
