I stopped watching MKX after 3 months cause of how boring the end result is. I see nothing has or will change. Sonic fox wins and I am out again.

Fox's little tee'hee' trash talk or joke or whatever on the mic was a very poor showing and very immature. I know he's nye unbeatable in NRS games and his word is gold about it so therefore it's often frowned on to say anything negative about lord fox. But that's our champion and how the world gets to see him.

And this is why some of us have never liked him and actively root against him. He has always seemed like an immature, cocky douche and only looks good when compared to larger, feminine hygiene products.

Somebody has to take the villain roll. Before him it was Perfect Legend and even KDZ to some extent.

The CDJr thing, y'all are taking too serious. It's a friendly rivalry. Mani acts the same way towards REO, he always has heated discussions and rivalries.

Anyway, thanks for the postitive feedback for this article! I kinda fear not many looked at the recaps in the spoiler tags, but if I didn't put them in the tags, the post would probably be the longest in TYM history.

some awesome matches but the aquaman and black adam scumbaggery is real. fish'n' chips ftw! i would have wished for low tier hero sonic fox with deashot.

Even though there were way too many Aquamen for my liking (he's actually not that bad to watch if it's a use meter for combos aquaman as opposed to the boring as fucking hell use meter to trident rush aquaman) but otherwise thought it was a fun tourney.

Compbro's Canary was really fun, as was Noobe's Cheetah, Hayatei's Robin, Tekken Master's Atrocitous, and my mvp of the tournament Biohazard's Bane and Harley. Which really is probably my biggest sore spot in the whole thing.

Debuff needs a rework. Like yesterday. Biohazard having the entire crowd behind him, going apeshit with Banye only to be stuff on level 3 debuff for what felt like an entire life bar was pure and utter bullshit.

Also, did Sonicfox force CdJr to delete his twitter account? I went looking for the excuses but the account is gone.

I have been absolutely loving this game, but I felt that the Top 8 was a terrible showing overall. Too much Black Adam, and it just felt like way too much zoning. It's a fun mental chess match to play out when you're actually playing, but watching two characters stand full screen trading various projectile options is generally a snooze.

The only genuinely exciting set of Top 8 was seeing Bane. The character is so read-heavy and in your face... THAT was interesting to watch! If you go back and listen to the audience throughout, that Bane set was the only one that elicited consistent reaction from the crowd. For the most part - and especially compared to some of the other games - the crowd was basically silent.

It seems like the zoning nature of the game was a very deliberate choice, and most of the cast can do it, and will do it. So ya, they somehow managed to make a game even more boring to watch then Rekka Kombat X.

I cant really fault them, it seems that's what the players want.
