F1 is slow used best to whiff punish or meaty.

MB db2 is +6 and the command grab has 10 frame start up.

While I did get rocked by big D in the mirror I learned how to use Scarecrow's up close tools a bit better so it was a good learning experience.

Also his f3 seems punishable correct?

What is his mb chain swing special on block?

Lastly, can you follow up f3 with anything on hit from distance besides trait blast?

I can answer some of the questions, F3 is definitely punishable on block. MB chain swing is -1 but keep in mind the transition from chain swing to MB chain has a gap in between so they can interrupt.

Also depending on the distance, you can follow up f3 with either scythe grab or a walk up F2~db3(fear toxin)
 
I found a way of building the Fear Meter to about 100% and giving access to Traumatize off of 1 combo into a block string. It's a bit expensive at costing 3 bars however for a chance at a comeback factor, some may find it useful.

Depending on how close you are you can delay a F21 into command grab for about 279 damage. Or F21 Db3 to get damage over time, push them away and give you time to trait up. Or if you're already traited, F21 into BF1 Mb to build the fear meter, restand the opponent and leave you heavily plus.
 
If you're going to play the character in his current build. Then you need a secondary who is either an excellent zoner or anti zoner, because Crane currently doesn't have much of an answer for it.

that's nonsense, work your way in like most other characters have to, he has excellent movespeed, massive range, a mid that goes under projectiles, and a full screen instant combo start when Traumitise is available, and all that is assuming that Teleport is too slow to find a use in such match ups, and ignoring the universal roll. Capitalize on your strengths and make his excellent pressure and mixes count when you are in, zoning isn't meant dealt with in one single catchall button outside of characters with dedicated tools to make it so.

this i can attest to. You aren't teleporting in on Darkseid without getting punished. He's gonna bop you.
 
His Trait, Traumatize and Damage are his best assets.

That being said. I'm open to having my mind changed. I've played all the above match ups for a bit now so if you guys capture footage of some good matches I'll take a look.

Can't even dash between projectiles

Honestly people still trying to see if there is another quirk to him. He's not looking promising right now imo. Right now, there isn't much to say but meh.

Actually he is really cool and fun, he has weaknesses but he is a good char imo.
He's challenging but worth it.

zoners will give him trouble but that is part of the style, he has solid damage, plus frames with meter, good corner game, good anti airs, one of the best ranges in the game etc.

Only time will tell but once heavy zoners get nerfed he will become more viable.

The game is new and def not asking for buffs but if anything make his 11frames d2 into 9frames? Aquaman's d2 is 7frames and has about the same range.

Give him more health maybe?

F2 at max range doesn't really combo into much, it should be able to combo into death spin MB, b3 ect.

F2 is only +4 on hit and -13 on block so you can't say the move is for getting enough frame advantage to come in for pressure and stuff.

S3 tick throw is +1 on hit
IA fear blast is plus too
S2 staggers work really well
People poking the gap in f213 can be caught with f21xxdb3 or f21xxdb2mb
There's a semi-vortex after bf1ex: command grab or b12, it's a pain in the ass to get perfectly since you have to walk forward slightly for both options
