Shrug. I was wrong about Ibuki. Just don't injure that arm patting yourself on the back Shaz, you won't be able to hold all the cookies people will give you for being super right. Top 3 thoigh, I'm not seeing it yet.
Anyway,
Yeah Necalli seems even more straight forward than Ryu to me, in that Ryu is trying to make a gameplan work that he doesn't have the tools for, and Necalli does. The command grab is a nice extra option, the ground pound is semi fireball-esque, Necalli had some basic neutral tools that he can get good mileage off of (cr.mk x lk.stomp) and a very powerful but extremely straight forward Oki game with just enough variety that I hope to not get super bored and feel like in repeating myself. He also doesn't have to worry too much about V-trigger. I mean, sure it's optimal to confirm into it through an extended, high damage combo but you can just hit it any time and you are always going to get your money's worth since it lasts forever. No worrying about maximizing your time in trigger or waiting to use it for the perfect moment.. nope. Just Super Saiyan and start slamming fools. Good AA options, good normals, great damage, etc etc. I also think Necalli looks bad as hell and his samurai costume - that I already own - is one of the best in the entire game.
I do have some regrets not choosing Ryu, but ultimately Necalli is top 10 and Ryu is bottom 5 (more or less) and if both pretty much tic all my boxes, I just can't see picking the worse of the two unless you have an attachment to Ryu, which I really don't.
Just got off work, going to get some sleep then try to find some damn games.
