Guile seems very very strong, not saying he's #1 but he does seem really good. I don't know about dhalsim though but I wouldn't say he's top 5. I wonder how his cancellable low will help him overall in tier lists.

K if that don't work I don't know what's up.
After watching, I think the V-reversal is causing you to push cr.HP too early during the recovery frames of j.HP for it to be within the buffer range for it to come out. Because you push v-skill slightly later, it is allowed to come out because you are later in the recovery frames of the j.HP.

I tested this option select on the ground and I think it works as well. st.MP into cr.HP then v-skill. If they v-reversal, cr.HP will not come out, but the parry will. If they just block, the cr.HP will come out but no v-skill. This seems quite strong actually.

I hope that all made sense.

Welcome to Akihabara
Nah I'm talking about when you do the jump in one. You can os a button to come out if they block or get hit, or a parry to come out if they vreversal. You don't cancel any normals or anything like that.

That would be really tough to figure out how to get that as an option select meaty. There might be a way but I can't think of anything other than a safe jump type setup...

BTW, cr.MP into cr.HP into v-skill is an even better option select. Less of a gap if they try to sneak in a fast button.

@FL Rushdown are these option selects known? The two I just posted with st.MP and cr.MP? I think this might make sweep his best combo ender. Meaty cr.MP option select v-reversal bait seems really strong.

you can option select his parry off any medium or heavy as far as I know. And sweep would still be worse than demon flip into palm. That being said cr mp into cr hp will always have a beatable gap even if hit hits perfectly meaty.

True, but they would have to be willing to disrespect cr.MP into cr.MP which is going to be some big damage if it hits.

I feel like more people should be using the medium grounded option selects. They are really easy and some people like to v-reversal akuma's meaty pressure. This would really make them think twice.

Cr mp into cr mp is technically a frame trap but it's not really confirmable since you'll have to single hit confirm into tatsu while also confirming it isn't a crouch block. You'd be better off going into st mk since it force stands so you can just focus on hit/block.

Nah actually. After v skill + p xx trigger you get a dash up demon that's guaranteed on any character with no 3 framer. They've gotta hold up before it comes out cause demon beats anything else.
Oh... That's good to know. I think I got hit with something like that recently. I think they did cr.MK~fireball v-trigger dash Demon I think.

Yeah that one works too although I'm fairly certain it's not frame perfect and you have to manually delay the demon a couple frames. Not sure though I've never really messed with it. He's got a lot of demon setups and there's so little time. Although even if you have to delay it you could probably just do dash up lp/lk and tick a demon after. Little harder execution wise but negates the timing requirement.

You confirm the second cr.MP on counter-hit into st.MK~light tatsu since it's usually a block or counter-hit situation with the frame trap. Sweep works on counter-hit too if you are too far. Reduced push back on counter hit helps the st.MK connect.

I'm fairly certain that that won't work. Best you're gonna get is sweep or a mk tatsu after the second cr mp. And sweep will only be on ch, and the tatsu won't hit 3 times so no dp after. If you're retardedly godlike you could confirm lk tatsu but it's too risky to try as akuma imo. You're betting half your life on your ability to visually confirm the hit and standing state in like 5 frames.

So yeah There's no way cr mp into cr mp is a better blockstring than cr mp into st mk. You sacrifice too much. If the cr mp hits them non ch it doesn't combo(happens as akuma especially in trigger cause they wanna jump/avoid throw loops) if it does hit you lose dmg cause you can't force stand so you won't be able to lk tatsu and if the second one hits non ch you don't even get the sweep ender. Just do st mk. Trust me.
