I do reactionary fullblocks all the time and if you see the unblockable you can throw out a light if the unblockable is slow enough or if you're playing Warlord you can heavy through it.
Warlords heavy armour doesn't start til halfway through the move.

Fullblock has startup unlike regular block, you literally can't use it to stop attacks that are unseeable to begin with.

Full block isn't that great in 1v1, fantastic in 4v4 modes though.

Orochi is really fun and fits my playstyle really well. I think I found my new main.

Also, for those unaware, if you need to practice, go to "How To Play" in the menus, and go to "Duel Practice". Bot Lvl: 0 the bot will never attack, so you can learn the attacks of a character. Then you can put the bot on Lvl 3 and they are very good and you can get great practice in. The only problem is they don't really fall for baits or feints or anything, since they are the AI.

This is what I did for Nobushi and why I went undefeated in the beta's, lol. That said, it seems the skill level of players has went up a lot since the full game has been released. Either that or the bad players decided not to get the full game. I still haven't lost with Nobushi, but my Raider and Scrublord aren't fairing as well.

Honestly, the only real reason I see playing him is the opponent has less options for the free hit after being parried because he gets pushed back so much. You can't do a "normal" BNB of guard break into heavy.

His gameplan from when I used him, and saw other competent people play him, seems 100% based around parries and baiting, which every other character in the game can do too, while also having other tools available. His mixup into unblockable or canceled into side light is pointless when the opponent has some open space, because you can back dash into back roll to avoid the whole situation. I even tried to do unblockable finisher into feint, to forward dash grab and it seems like the back roll is guard break immune for some reason. I suppose you could maybe do unblockable finisher feint into forward dash light, but that is a ton of stamina and a hard read for something that would lose to the opponent doing literally anything else

Also, apparently in the beta, Kensei side dash light attack was punishable on block (not parry) with a free inescapable guard break. Not sure if that's still the case but if so...that makes it even less viable for "randomly" trying it. It's viable to parry it on reaction but having it punishable on block gives no risk.
If you parry guardbreak throw unblockable cancel into side heavy it catches the bsckdash backroll.

That's interesting. Not sure if worth though. Off a guardbreak top heavy does 20 damage into that pseudo mixup I mentioned in the quote. You can also do side heavy for 25 damage. The mixup you are mentioning would only net 35 damage if it worked, and 0 dmg or maybe even being parried if it doesn't work. Probably better off taking the 20 or 25 damage guaranteed instead of going for that mixup, IMO.

Speaking of that, here is the chart of dmg for all attacks in the game if you all haven't seen it.

Note that after a guard break, the 2nd hit of the chain is the attack used. If you are doing guard break, throw, then an attack it uses the 3rd hit of the chain.

Anyone else main Peacekeeper? I'm sticking with her because I've been reading that her bleed damage nerf is a bug.

I'm shelving Berserker for now because I think the core of her design just doesn't match up well against people that are good at defense. I'm curious if anyone is having success with Berserker against decent opponents.
